Polystrippa is a paint stripper commonly available from Bunnings Warehouse (a common hardware store in Australia). I bought the 500ml tub for A$13.98. The 500ml tub is good value for the amount especially if it for a one-off where 1L or more is not necesary. The Paint stripper contains mostly Dichloromethane. It is highly recommended that this product is used outside as the fumes are very potant. It take several minutes for the paint to soften (around 3 mins) the softened paint can be scraped away with a scraper. The product works well but it takes several passes but it does work. Before stripping the paint it must be scratched to bare metal to activate the chemicals to make it work better by digging under the paint.
British Paints spray easy is cheap spray paint from Bunnings Warehouse (a common hardware store in Australia). I bought this for a project thas wasn't finished and it worked well. The paint comes in 310g cans for A$8.30. The paint includes primer for ease of painting. I bought the enamel gloss version and it is fairly tough but it takes long to harden even after a few days since painting the paint is still soft and can be scraped with a finger nail. For the paint to last longer primer should be used and to add some clear coat.
