Star Trek: First Contact (1996)
Review by Glenn Burgess
The first solo outing of the Next Generation crew is top stuff. Sure, the plot's full of holes, but the action and effects are top notch. Like Independance Day, the film lacks any real beef to it's story, but is nonetheless engaging. There is a bit of a message behind it, but who cares about that? No, this isn't a film for those looking for Star Trek's usual bagful of morals, but it is a film that appeals to a wider audience.
