Gerry Anderson's top live-action series about aliens who are trying to invade Earth and the covert operation SHADO that's out to stop them. The series was marred by crap costume designs and some duff acting, but had some strong storylines, among some real stinkers. Lasted 26 episodes. Stars Ed Bishop (Commander Ed Straker), George Sewell (Col. Alec Freeman), Micheal Billington (Col. Paul Foster), Wanda Ventham (Col. Virginia Lake), Gabrielle Drake (Lt. Gay Ellis), Dolores Mantez (Lt. Nina Barry), Antonia Ellis (Lt. Joan Harrington), Grant Taylor (Gen. Henderson) and Vladek Sheybal (Dr Jackson).
