S-Mart SM-PA06 Mk2 "Stingray"

      The "Stingray" was once the proud visage behind the dreaded Red Devil power armor operatives, and their peers among the Tenzan Elite. Since the inception of the "Interceptor Mk2" or "Kamiken" as it is called in Wa-Daisho, the "Stingray" is now slowly on her way into retirement. The "Stingray", once retired from service, will be a thing of the past, as S-mart has no plans to produce any further models of this type. Even still, when they do see active duty, the "Stingray" is almost always assigned to police duties, and other such light tasks that wouldn't take the unit too far from friendly territory. PICTURE NOTE: The only physical difference between the "Stinger" and "Stingray" is that the "Stingray" has slightly bulkier forearms denoting the additional weapons.

* These designated areas of the armor are small and difficult targets to hit, so therefore may only be struck with a penalty of -3 to strike.
** The Multi-Use Thruster Pack is a quad-thruster pack mounted on the unit's back. The two middle thrusters are designed for taking in water, and pushing it out the lower part of the thruster at great speeds, while the two outer thrusters are genuine jet thrusters.
*** Once the MDC of the "Stinger" is depleted, the armor is in tatters resulting in a total systems shut down.
Performance:
Maximum Running Speed: 100 mph; Note that the act of running does tire it's operator, but at 10% the usual fatigue rate.
Leaping: The powerful robot legs can leap 20' high or across without the jet thrusters. A jet thruster assisted leap can hurl the unit up to 100' high or across.
Maximum Flying Speed: The unit can fly at a maximum speed of 200 mph, at an altitude of up to 3,000' for up to 3 hours before requiring at least an hour cooling period.
Maximum Swimming Speed: 4 mph using typical swimming type motions. The unit may also propel itself at up to 40 mph underwater via use of the underwater thrusters. Additionally the unit may run along the bottom of the ocean at half it's normal running speed.
Maximum Safe Diving Depth: The unit is safe from the water tight seal being ruptured up to 1,500' in depth.

Market/Black Market Cost: This type of unit is only used by the Wa-Daisho police force, and is in the process of being phased out in favor of the more versatile Interceptor Mk 2 power armor commonly used in Wa-Daisho. Once phased out, they will be donated to small towns and cities with no measurable means of protection.
Systems of Note:
Virtual Reality Interface System: This powerful reality interface system allows a pilot to call on data and calculations even faster than a normal HUD equipped power armor pilot. Additionally, the unit is not weakened by the presence of a vulnerable area such as a visor. The unit is instead equipped with five sensor units placed around the armor, and disguised to be flush with the body, which prevents all but the most knowledged of opponents from blinding the "Stinger". Another aspect of this system is that the "Stinger" can focus and fire up to four different weapon systems, if available, at the same time, costing only ONE attack. One must remember that the pilot inside "sees" via a high resolution graphic scene as interpreted by the system, meaning that the pilot sees as though he is not even in a power armor unit, but as if he were standing out in the field with nothing on his head at all, but with all these calculations and small windows always around his/her peripherals.
Light Polarization Lense: This system automatically adjusts light filters to prevent the unit's pilot from being blinded by sudden explosions or blasts of light.
Infrared Optics: This allows the unit's pilot to see into the infrared spectrum of light, and differentiate heat sources up to 2,000' away.
Passive Nightvision: Allows the pilot of the unit to see up to 2,000' in the dark.
Image Enhancement: This permits a unit's pilot to zoom in on anything received on his/her optics system.
Telescopic Optics: This enhances a pilot's vision to 6,000'.
Thermal Optics: This allows a pilot to see heat sources and such so well, as to actually be able to see through small obstacles up to 2,000' away. (Maximum obstacle thickness of 30'
Military Radio & Scrambler: 500 mile range.
IR Baffeling: This reduces the Infrared signature of the suit. (-40% to all read sensory equipment/optic systems rolls to detect.)
Sensory Extentions: These are the large fin/antennae protrusions found on the head of the unit. They are typically used to see around corners, or in an air combat sense, to sit just below the tree tops allowing the extensions to protrude from the tree canopy revealing vital information to the pilot. All optic systems and radar may be used through these extensions.
Other Systems: This unit also has many of the other standard features of Power Armor listed in the main book including Environmental systems (Although they are increased to 10 hours of life support.), Heat and Radiation Shielding, Radar (20 mile), and Targeting Computer.

Weapon Systems:
1.Laser Assault Cannon (2;Forearms): These heavy forearm mounted laser cannons are the primary weapons of the "Stingray". They are very deadly for their small size, and that is due in part to their origins. The Laser Assault Cannons mounted on "Stingray" power armor units are imported from Phase World!
Primary Purpose: Anti-Armor.
Secondary Purpose: Anti-Personnel.
Mega-Damage: 1D6x10MD
Rate of Fire: Equal to the user's combined hand to hand attacks.
Maximum Effective Range: 1,800'
Payload: Effectively Unlimited; Thanks to the nuclear power supply.
2.Micro-Missile Launcher (2;Forearms):These tiny missile launchers are mounted on the "Stingray" with the intended purpose of knocking out flight systems of other power armor units, softening up armor, or other heavy targets.
Primary Purpose: Anti-Armor.
Secondary Purpose: Anti-Personnel.
Mega-Damage: 4D6MD to a 10' area.
Rate of Fire: Up to 4 missiles can be fired at once.
Maximum Effective Range: 900'
Payload: 20 micro-missiles are contained in each armored forearm.
3.Hi-Boost Vibro Sword (2;Forearms): These weapons are a bit more advanced than your' average vibro swords. This is accomplished by using a Carbon Crystal super conductor that is developed in the zero gravity environment so easily accessible in the Three Galaxies! It is typically used in ground fighting when a ranged weapon would be too dangerous to innocent bystanders.
Primary Purpose: Anti-Personnel.
Secondary Purpose: Defense.
Mega-Damage: 4D6MD
Maximum Effective Range: Hand to hand only!
Payload: Effectively Unlimited; Thanks to the nuclear power supply.
4.Hand to Hand Combat Abilities: The combat abilities are essentially the same as the Power Armor Elite Training skill, with the exception of the "Stinger" having a +4 to strike with all ranged weapons.
