Day 71 -- The Use of Time

(Day 11 of the Third Month)

Dear Diary,

You know, when one occupies oneself with new knowledge, one forgets the time easily.

And I start wondering why I am so indulged in learning the lost technologies.

Aren't lost things lost forever? May be I like the lost technologies and hoped that it would not be really lost...

Rainbow got Kwhirl, Beau Mystere and Arctica Wind as today's successful challengers. Some were bright, others were patient. There were a few more, and obviously they gave up in the middle.

I went wandering around after dinner, but nothing was interesting. I stumbled onto a Magic School, where furres in it happened to be busily putting poufs back to place. It's very funny, you know, dear diary, that they didn't seem to realize that it would be more convenient to every one of them if the dream owner just use the reinitialize function... I couldn't quite understand them why they would like to spend their time like this when there's a quicker way. And I sure don't think they are doing the job happily (they were complaining).

Day 72 - Peaceful day

Dear Diary,

Today, Rainbow got me Zentar, Sinnach IceHeart, Ruku, JenieHRTBabe and Shirt while I continued my study on the miscellaneous lost technologies in Laputa.

Rainbow started to teach me the 88 moves of Tai Chi. I learned the first 10 of them today.

And I discovered that I like peaceful day, despite my close relation with Wind and Water.

Day 73 - Habit? Hobby?

(Day 13 of Month 3)

Dear Diary,

Chef Aid was today's only successful challenger.

I started my day by wandering in the Hysteria Mansion for the whole morning.

Then I came back to Laputa, ate lunch, and began my study again.

Day 74 - To See the Fact

Dear Diary,

I slept till nearly noon.

I went meditating in the clouds for the afternoon, to sort out those newly learnt knowledge.

Today, Rainbow went into a luxious hotel and brought the only successful challenger of the day -- Sophie Deluxe. Sophie was one of the staff, or it seemed, of the hotel, which was built with the same technology as Laputa, and was also floating in the clouds.

Rainbow had observed that it was rare for any furre's dream to have more than 3 visitors inside, and therefore, had concluded that a spacious dream which contains large rooms and repetitive/boring placement of furniture simply is a bad design. But more than half of the dreams in Kasuria had committed this mistakes, according to Rainbow, which he told me.

I had never taught him about such design rules, and had made dreams without considering those stuffs. I just concentrated on the wish that I wanted visitors to like my dream. Interestingly, Rainbow bought Sophie to the Rainbow Ring to see a positive example.

Now that I thought of it, I had made each room of the Ring small (one can always see some part of the boundary of the room) because when I was making the Ring, I imagined I was a visiting furre. I had imagined myself to be alone, arriving in the Ring.

As I had so many experiences with being alone in an unknown place, I could remember very well the unpleasant feeling that I was all alone, in a boring repetitive place (e.g. many identical looking rooms, a large room with many repetition (similar placements) of a pattern of furniture, feeling bored, tired and a little bit lost, because I cannot see how far I have gone, nor any boundaries of the room.

Therefore, I had made each part of the Ring a sufficiently spacious, but nevertheless small and cozy.

And Rainbow seems to be able to appreciate the design a lot.

And I begin to wonder: why could an artificial intelligence appreciate something? Rainbow could even think about how other furres are feeling! When I thought of the fact that some furres don't seem to be able to think of other's feelings, I began to doubt whether evolution would like bots like Rainbow more...
