As a compliment to modern-style metal and explosive detectors, Arzno uses a hand-held device to expose magically concealed items. This includes items protected by the Concealment spell as well as any other form of magical concealment. It will not expose an invisible being. The device can be some sort of hand-held sensor commonly used in modern medicine or more frequently a converted lamp or flashlight. In the case of a flashlight, the bulb is removed and in its place is placed a medium-sized quartz. A small amethyst functions as the power switch. It can be built into the lighting system of a small room for 50 additional credits or so in wiring.
