Chak

Made for an AD&D game while in tech school, Chak was not something

I would normally do.  Part of a raiding party that got decimated by Ork shamans

he was driven mad, believing that he was dead.  Living in the forest for a hundred years

the local Dwarves named him Chak (translated as "Crazed Elf'") and basically left him alone.

He had a cloak of the bat and was quite fond of using it.  The whole party thought that

the DM was letting me play an elven vampire, it was pretty fun.
