TOURMALINE

Tourmalines are in a group which display the broadest array of coloured stones. There are 10 types of tourmaline, but only three: Elbaite, dravite & uvite are useful as gems. Elbaite can be pink to red, blue, green, violet, purple, yellow, orange, brown, black and colourless. Bicoloured crystals are also common. Ones which are pink and green are called "watermelon".

Tourmaline is a beautiful stone however these pictures dont do its true beauty any justice. Tourmaline would have to be one of my all time favourites if not #1 crystal. Tourmaline is said to be the stone of protection. It wards off fear and negativity and guards on all levels. Its protective energies instill confidence, understanding and inspiration.
