Bark Psychosis - Hex
Bark Psychosis music was described as "post
rock". Mainly because its so hard to describe. Its a listening experience
more than just another album. I can say its impossible to listen to this album
directly as people normally do. The proper definition would be "to absorb" it
rather than "to listen". But just to give you some sort of clue and direction,
its very atmospheric, British, somewhat on the quiet jazzy side. I find it relates
to the atmospheric albums of Talk Talk ("Spirit of Eden" and "Laughing
Stock"). With its hypnotic beauty, this album reminds me of The Verves
"A Storm in Heaven" (which I will review in the future).
The standout track is the opening number "The Loom".
