Bark Psychosis - Hex

Bark Psychosis’ music was described as "post rock". Mainly because it’s so hard to describe. It’s a listening experience more than just another album. I can say it’s impossible to listen to this album directly as people normally do. The proper definition would be "to absorb" it rather than "to listen". But just to give you some sort of clue and direction, it’s very atmospheric, British, somewhat on the quiet jazzy side. I find it relates to the atmospheric albums of Talk Talk ("Spirit of Eden" and "Laughing Stock"). With it’s hypnotic beauty, this album reminds me of The Verve’s "A Storm in Heaven" (which I will review in the future).

The standout track is the opening number "The Loom".
