A FALLEN LEAF
Are we just fallen leaves
from two unlike trees?
Laid down on this sundrenched field
Our color fading,
Washed by the light
But we do not fold our arms
and go to sleep
like fallen leaves do,
when the sun drowns us.
Perhaps we have not yet fallen.
