Bhai Samund Singh Jee

| Bhai Samund Singh jee started doing keertan at an early age and with Guru's grace he became known for his keertan in raags (indian musical measures). As early as the age of sixteen he would go to sing keertan at Gurduaaraas and the congregation would eagerly go to listen to him. Some would say "Kaka Samund Singh jee daa keertan sunaN challe haa(n)." Samund Singh jee knew all 31 raags from Guru Granth Saheb jee and was best known for rendering Shabads in their original raags. He passed away at the age of sixty eight in January 1972. |
