summer 2002

i took a 5-week independent study class where we could construct a project for ourselves. i had done some work with painting with light, and i wanted to take it outside where i'd have a bigger canvas, so i decided my project would be night photography. i also was interested in doing some self-portraits, and one of the first locations i used was a playground. i was so-so on it, but my professor loved it and thought i should do a whole series of dream-like, return-to-childhood pieces. some of them are ok, but i wasn't as gung-ho about it as he was. so i did some other stuff too, especially with roads. all the portrait shots are of me though.

i really want to get back in the darkroom and hit this one up with some alternative processes. maybe pour a little developer around the edges.
