Tour of the LEGO City of Chris Fortier at Harrisonburg

Welcome to the LEGO City of Chris Fortier at Harrisonburg. This city opened its streets on September 1, 1998 and entered the internet on June 1, 1999. Since this is a representative collection, the pictures may seem more ordinary than they do back at the original city 200 miles away. This collection was about six months when the pictures were taken. Remember, cities take a long time to grow up. So without further ado, I, Chris Fortier, present the LEGO City of Chris Fortier at Harrisonburg.

Vvrroomm!! You are seeing the supersonic car being clocked at 785 miles per hour at the dragstrip/spacecenterwest. Every Saturday night, the locals come out and cheer LEGO Lazier as he tries to break the speed record of 875 mph set at the strip January 22, 1999.

HONOR, PRESTIGE, AND GLORY This is the JMU Monument, where the original LEGO City of Chris Fortier is memorialized. You are looking at the monument on Founder's Day 1998 celebration. The arrow on top of the monument points to the original city nearly 200 miles away.

MAIN STREET You are looking at an overview shot of Main Street. These are the homes and businesses that keep the city alive.

Another view of Main Street, this time from the JMU Monument.

This is the Spacecenter West. The center only consists of a mini-shuttle (MINI-SHE), a small rocket launcher, and a satellite research facility right behind the rocket launcher.
