Human rights, national sovereignty, slave & child labor, torture, threats of military action, U.N. convention violations, environmental hazards, censorship, and a lack of basic freedoms are not issues under consideration by the International Olympic Committee when deciding who will host the Olympics. President Juan Antonio Samarance said that Beijing China had beaten Toronto Canada, Paris France, and two other cities for the hosting of the Games.
