History of Alpha Phi Chapter

 

The ALPHA PHI OMEGA FRATERNITY, Alpha Phi Chapter, UERMMMC, was founded on December 18, 1968 and was recognized in 1973. The founders were aptly called "The Pioneer 12":

Ø      Louie Cabiling, MD

Ø      Vic Calulut, MD (Deceased)

Ø      Christian Cangco, MD

Ø      Jon Franco, MD

Ø      Manuel Lazatin, MD

Ø      Reynaldo Lesaca,Jr MD

Ø      Dante Rabot, MD

Ø      Jimmy Solomon,MD

Ø      Nicolas Tagle, MD

Ø      Pete Tenorio, MD

Ø      Jimmy Tuazon, MD

Ø      Jose Yuchangco, MD

                                                                        

In 1974, Dr. Susan Degosena-Punzalan and Dr. Vicky Poblete-Dimayuga, sisters of Epsilon/UE Recto Chapter, worked for membership expansion. Batches of bigger numbers were recruited. The Alpha Phi Chapter of ALPHA PHI OMEGA SORORITY was formally recognized in April 1979 during the APO Convention held in Cebu City.
