How to apply for scholarships properly!
1) If you have to hand-write the form make sure you do several copies first. Make sure your handwriting is legible. Maybe have someone else check it to make sure it is.
2) ALWAYS use correct spelling, grammar, etc. See College 101 guide to grammar! STAY WITHIN THE WORD LIMIT!
3) Do not lie. At times, you may emphasise certain points but do not exaggerate and do not make up things so you look more appealing. The university can probably tell if you are exaggerating.
4) Make what you say relevant to the scholarship. If you have to write an essay for an athletics scholarship focus on your sports interests and activities and only mention your French exchange student.
5) If there's something very special about you that's relvant then try to put it in. If you have won awards or received recognition, definately include these!
