Welcome to the Unofficial Chapin High School Wrestling Team Homepage. I will
try to make this page informative and include links to other wrestling
sites. Chapin High School Wrestling has become a tradition in our community.
Led by coach Bob Taylor, we are reigning State Champions, the last three years
in a row. I update this page on almost a daily basis, so keep
checking back. ***I will be the editor for 2A-1A next year. I am looking for one person from every 2A-1A school to send me info.,scores(complete scores for every weight class), and other useful info. I plan to provide complete scores the night of the matches. Next year promises to be exciting in terms of additional wrestling information. E-mail me if you will be a correspondant. Freestyle Information will follow the high school season!!! I want to take a moment to thank those people that have made this site so popular. To the Chapin wrestlers, fans, parents, Coach Taylor(who I must say is one of the best coaches I have ever seen in action, and someone who I must say I am proud to have coached my son), and relatives from afar. I was especially touched by Coach Taylor's parents and relatives who wrote from Missouri and made this site take on new significance for me. I want to thank the wrestlers and parents of other 2A schools, especially the Smiths from Walhalla, the Huckabys from Woodruff, Clint Yon from Swansea, the great folks at Ninety Six, the fine people from West-Oak High School, and Mark Buford from SCMAT.COM. Much time has gone into this site, but everyone that has written to me, has made this so much a labor of love. I thank you, and pledge that I will make both this, and the SCMAT information the best, and most prompt information that South Carolina Wrestling fans have at their disposal. John Carpenter |
