Travis Jackson was my "grandfather" by proxy. My mother's father died when she was 16. I neaver knew him. His best friend was Travis Jackson who is now in the hall of fame. Travis took over the oversight of my mother and grandmother. He was a 3rd cou in so was a blood member of the family. I grew up knowing him as Pappa Travis. I was very lucky to be able to watch hundrends of games with him and was really lucky to have him as a friend. He went into the Hall the same day that Hank Arron did and I w s able to be there for the induction. Because of Hank's induction there were a huge number of Hall of Famers there and I was able to meet and shake hands with most of them. If you have any information about Travis Jackson or know of any areas I might fi d old pictures of him, please let me know.
