Signed from Ipswich Town in October 1998, Alex Mathie has sadly never quite lived up to the expectations surrounding his �500,000 price tag. Managed just 2 goals in 18 starts last season, despite clearly putting in the effort, and is currently on loan to Preston North End. Hopefully he will find the right club for his undoubted talents.
