György was Royal Private Secretary.
He was born on 20 July 1752 at Kis-Kereskény, in the county of
Hont and at the age of 15 years entered the Jesuit Order. However
with the dissolution of the Order in 1773, he returned to secular
life and studied law.
He began his official career at the County Court on Hont county. After a few months there, the Palatine, Prince Nicolas (Miklós) Eszterházy promoted him to the position of Registrar of the Supreme Court. From then on he rose rapidly through the ranks of the judiciary. In 1781 he became the solicitor of the Royal Estates, and in 1784 he was appointed Crown Solicitor. In 1786 he became a District Judge, and by the end of that year he became a Justice of the Supreme Court.
During 1790 and 1791 he was the official notary of Parliament and Palatine Judicator in 1792, and as the occupant of that office he carried the Quill of the Realm during the 1796 Parliament. In 1798, he rose to the post of Imperial Court Chancellor, which position he occupied for seven years.
He participated in the 1805, 1807 and 1808 Parliaments. During the 1807 parliament he was awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of St. Stephen. Later in 1808 he was created "Ceasarae Regiae et Apostolicae Maiestatis Personalis Praesentiae in Iudiciis Locumtenens", or in other words "the Representative of His Imperial and Apostolic Royal Majesty's Jurisdiction". At the same time, he occupied the position of the President of the Lower House of Parliament according to the records with great dignity until his death on 19 February 1821, at the age of 69.
