What a very nice page you have here! I really enjoyed reading about Pulaski
County. My great- great-grandfather, Mathew McDaniel, and his wife, Jamima
Black McDaniel, relocated to Pulaski between 1860 and 1870. I know Mathew
was a Justice of the Peace for a while. He is buried in the cemetery in
Ft. Leonard Wood. Mathew and Jamima's son, Leonadis, married Charlotte Mary
Bumble, daughter of Wil iam Davis Brumble and Martha Farabee. I believe
either the Brumbles or the McDaniels lived for a time on the "Bailey
Homestead," per oral family history. Anyone having connections with
McDaniels or Brumbles, please write. Again, thanks for the informat ve and
well-done pages! Judy

I enjoyed your history. I'm looking for info on John Henry Dumas died Feb.28,
1859 and his wife Ellender Russell Dumas died Oct. 26, 1859 near Waynesville,
MO. In the 1850 census they were in GA. The children at the time of death
would have been (oldest - 15 and youngest -5) I cannot find them in an 1860
census because I do not know what family they lived with. I do know they
ended up in IL-(at least the 3rd child my gggrandfather did). Do you know
of any disease that may have killed many people in 185 or just coincidence
that they both died in the same year? Sorry for the ramblings - do you think
the best bet would be to go to the newspaper for an obit on both and see
what info is there? Thanks Ellen
