David Duchovny

David William Duchovny (pronounced doo-KUV-nee)plays Special Agent Fox William Mulder. "Duchovny" means spiritual in Russian.

David was born on August 7, 1960 in New York and has an older brother Daniel who is a director of commercials and a younger sister Laurie, who is a school teacher. His parents got divorced in 1972. I have heard that he is blind in his right eye from a basketball accident in high school but this isn't confirmed. If this is true this might answer why no one really knows what color his eyes are.

David married actress Tea Leoni in May 1997.

They had their first child on April 24th 1999. Madelaine West Duchovny was 7 1/2 lbs and 20 1/2 inches. She was named after actress Mae West. This is the first child for both David and Tea. It is rumoured that in February 2000 she had pnemonia and had to go the hospitle but she is better now.

He has been in movies such as Playing God, New Years Day, and Don't Tell Mom the Babysitters Dead. The last two were before he was in The X-Files.

On February 23, 2000 he appeared at the Grammys with Jennifer Lopez and the now famous dress. They presented the best R&B album.

David Duchovny is in a new movie with Minni Driver called Return To Me. He plays Bob Rueland and it came out on April 7, 2000. Read an interview with David Duchovny about the movie.

So far David has directed two episodes. The fist was the 6th season episode, The Unnatural. It was about an alien that plays baseball in the 40's. At the end he becomes human because he thinks of himself as human.

The most recent one is the 7th season episode Hollywood A.D. Starring his wife Tea Leoni and friend Garry Shandling. They play Mulder and Scully in a movie called The Lazarus Bowl. These are various pictures from that episode. Some are in it, and some are behind the scenes with DD directing.

On May 1, 2000 David Duchovny was on Celebrity Millionare and won 32,000. He got up to 500,000 but then got that question wrong. It was a quote question. The answer was either The English Patient or Witness and he said Braveheart. Here are some pictures from that show.

On May 6, 2000 on Saturday Night Live the first skit was Celebrity Millionare and Chris Kattan played David Duchovny. How great is that? My favorite SNL player plays my favorite actor. Here are some really bad pictures from that show.

David Duchovny got a tattoo! He talkes about it in this interview. He got the tattoo for his daughter who I guess he calls West instead of Madeline. I've also heard Westy. The tattoo is a compas with West spelled out. The interview also talkes about his eye problem.
