Tragic side-car crash in Grobnik
On 8. June 97 side-car driver Jean Marie Fresca
and his mate Marc Degreave lost control of their vehicle while entering
a second lap during a race for Euro Istra Cup at Grobnik near Rijeka in
Croatia. They crushed their "Red 10" into a wall for not apparent reason
and turned over. Jean dropped out while Marc remained in the car till being
removed.
Unfortunately, one week after a tragic accident,
Jean Marie Fresca died in a French hospital. Marc suffered badly but survived.
