 Welcome!

Welcome to Doc& Spiral's 73-77 Chevelle page. This page is dedicated in loving memory, to my Soulmate, Chad ("Doc") Pomranky, who passed away much too soon on December 6, 2001. Thank You to all who have written to express their sympathy, it is appreciated.

Jacki's Lil Update Area:
Sping has sprung! (FINALLY!!) Gooney is in the process of an engine transplant! I've taken out her old motor and will be putting in the 455 that Doc built, all by himself! At the same time I will be doing a suspension upgrade. I will make sure to get lots of pics to share with all of our G3 family! Bubba is gonna stay pretty much as he is for now... I need at least one to drive for the summer or I'll go through withdrawl!I'm gonna have a busy Spring/Summer!
Best wishes to all, Jacki (a.k.a. "Spiral" a.k.a. "Chevellegirl")

Our site, which started as a single page, has been online since September of 1997. Originally, I put the site up just to teach myself HTML coding and to display our Chevelles for kicks and grins and it just snow-balled from there. In the spring of 1998, we started moving the site in a new direction, gearing the site toward what we like to call "The Forgotten Generation", i.e.; the 1973 to 1977 model year Chevelles. We felt that there was definitly a need for a site of this type due to the huge lack of information and lack of attention these cars have received. With prices on the 64-72 model years going through the roof and availability starting to dwindle, the 73-77 cars are already becoming the next hot collector item.

We hope that this web site will help fill the information gap that currently exists on the internet for these cars. There are a blue million web sites out there that cater to the 64-72 era Chevelles. We want to show people that GM didn't stop building the Chevelle in 1972 by supplying a place to read about and view these cars, not to mention be able to communicate with other owners of late model Chevelles.

 Info Desk

The information desk is your source for Chevelle information. These sections provide production numbers, powertrain combinations, interior and exterior color combinations and codes, RPO codes and other information. It also provides links to other Chevelle related information sections.

 What's New?

The 1973 Chevelle SS Station Wagon Registry

Visit the brand new site dedicated to the only year Chevy produced a Super Sport station wagon. They have a registry, gallery and an archive section. This site is a must if you own a wagon.

You may have noticed that the site has a new look. While trying out some new development software, I thought the Chevelle site would make a great test bed! Everything is still here, only a little better organized and, hopefully, a little easier to find. More updates...

Follow along as we document the suspension upgrade on our 1976 Laguna Type S-3. The new rear springs and shocks are in place in preparation for the new 2.25" exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers.

You can get a "Restoration Kit" from General Motors for absolutly no cost to you but a couple mintues of your time and a little willingness to supply them with some simple information regarding your car.
Call 1-800-222-1020. Be ready to supply the year, make, model and VIN of your car. They take down the information and they mail you out this really cool, thick packet of information that includes specs, option lists, car club listings and a booklet of aftermarket parts manufacturers and distributors. You don't even have to pay for the phone call! It doesn't get any better than this!
