Here is an ever growing list of parts required to build a Locost (including suppliers). This list was based on information from
 Peter Rebbechi's Westfield Page plus things I have aquired along the way.
 
 
 

Alternator P/N BXT 1250, 70A
                 Bosch alternative to the Nippondenso Alternator.
Speedo Cable - P/N SP26503
                · Obtained from Flexible Drive Agencies, 86 Stubbs Street, Kensington, VIC 3031.

                · Speedo Drive Tip (for Right Angle Drive) - P/N 30152-48120
                · This enables the right angle drive to be used with the Toyota T50 Gearbox.

Steering rack bushes - P/N KFC81 (or Repco P/N 41010)
Tie Rod ends - P/N BR1384
   
Triumph Steering Universal Joint - P/N 145377 alternative is to  use LH Torana steering uni-joint, or do as I did and rebuild the existing KE70 steering column uni-joints.

 Front Uprights - from TD Cortina
 Handbrake lever - from Corolla
 Front Lower Ball Joints - P/N BJ143
                 Obtained from Coventries
 Brake Reconditioning - front callipers
                 Calliper repair kit - P/N K785S
                 Maxistop brake pads - P/N MDB525
Oil Filter - Ryco Z486 (special one required for oil-cooler)
 Engine Rubber Mounts - I will try to use existing mounts and brackets from AE-71 crossmember, but alternative is P/N M114  McKay M114, Durometer hardness 60 (white dot)  Obtained from Repco
Differential - from Escort MK2, 3.89 ratio mounted in Cortina Mk2 rear axle (3.89 ratio matches T-50 gearbox final drive ratio to ensure speedo accuracy. I have a 4.444 ratio which I may fit later to give better acceleration)
Brake Master Cylinder - Toyota KE70/AE-71, fitted to KE 30 Booster

Throttle Cable - stock from KE-70/AE-71 Corrolla
 Instruments - I will initially use a Corolla or T-18 instrument panel, but more desirable (and expensive) alternative is:

Fan belt - 5PK0875  Multi Ribbed fan belt required when moving the alternator from left to right side of engine.

Shock Absorbers Spax G948 & G945 (or G400 & G401) pr - if you have heaps of $$$, they cost over $200 each. Budget alternatives include modifying Leyland/BMC Mini front shocks (remove "shroud", weld or bolt on spring retainers), or use Triumph Dolomite or Herald Coil overs.
