Marc's 400,000 mile Daily Driver

1967 Plymouth Satellite, been in the family since dad bought it at Cunningham Chrysler Plymouth in December 1967. White with dark blue bucket seat interior, console shift automatic, originally a 383 single exhaust 2 barrel. Now on it's third rebuild (first motor lasted 210,000 miles, first trans lasted 236,000 miles, second motor lasted only 120,000 miles before the lack of lead burned up the valves, now at 382,000 miles and still driven daily).

Check out the proud new owners of this Satellite back in December 1967.

It's now a true 4 barrel combo - bigger exhaust ports, mild porting, hardened exhaust seats, bigger cam, Carter AFB, duals with Dynomax mufflers, .060 over block now displacing 396 cubes. Electronic Ignition added. Roundy-top radiator ditched in favor of oversized flat-top unit, Distilled water and two bottles of Water Wetter used instead of traditional coolant - runs cooler this way. Everything new except the block and rods - mostly from the Mopar Performance catalog. Engine combo by Lee Hancock at Chrysler Performance Specialties (619-749-5300) and assembled by D&G Performance Engines, Escondido, CA

Interior by Lengendary Interior. It was repainted in '86 but it's time again. Future plans call for a conversion to front disk brakes - I hate front drums! I think that's GREAT you're doing a '67 Satellite Web Page. Being of the opinion that it's the world's greatest car...well, sort of...
