Turkey Meatballs Hawaiian

TURKEY MEATBALLS HAWAIIAN

2 pounds lean ground turkey
1 can finely chopped , drained water chestnuts
2 cups shredded tart apples
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
3 Tablespoons soy sauce
1 egg, beaten

Mix all ingredients together and shape into balls. Place in lightly greased shallow
baking dish. Bake 35 minutes at 350 ºF. or until well done.

SWEET AND SOUR SAUCE

½ cup packed brown sugar
3 Tablespoons corn starch
1 cup orange juice
1 ½ Tablespoon cider vinegar
3 Tablespoons chopped green bell pepper
2 Tablespoons ketchup
1 can (16 ounce) pineapple tidbits, undrained

Combine brown sugar and cornstarch in sauce pan. Add orange juice and
stir until smooth. Add vinegar, ketchup and pineapple. Cook over medium
heat until thickened. Add green pepper. Pour sauce over meatballs, cover
and bake 20 minutes at 350 ºF or until ready to serve.
