Dave Martin
Dave was born and raised in Pasadena, Texas. He later adopted Humble, Texas as his hometown, where he now resides with his family. He and his wife Carol have been married for 5 years and are the proud parents of their three year old son Charlie, their cat Sammy, and their dog Buckles.
Music has been a big part of Dave's life as long as he can remember. He still recalls how his mother took him to a live radio performance when he was 5 years old; the featured performer was Webb Pierce. The music styles of Ray Price and Jim Reeves were a major influence as he was growing up. Although Dave often fantasized of singing on stage, he never knew he could sing. When he was 24, he joined the choir at his church, and although Dave was very shy in front of a croud, he was soon a featured soloist. His broad range and smooth vocal style delighted thousands as he sang at countless churches throughout central and southeast Texas.
Raised on country music, Dave returned to his roots in 1992. His first performance opened with the song "Statue Of a Fool" and made him an instant hit in his home town. A local talent contest the following year sent Dave to Nashville to perform in a show at the Jim Ed Brown Family Theater. While in Nashvile, he performed in a Karaoke show at the Long Branch Saloon, which got him invited to sing on The General Jackson the following day. Since then, Dave has performed as an invited guest with numerous bands, as well as Karaoke shows from Las Vegas to the Bahamas.
He has also starred in local TV commercials for two of his employers and hosted the East Montgomery County Annual Christmas Parade. Dave's laid-back comfortable style makes him a natural on stage. His splendid vocal talent has made him popular with audiences of all ages. From bashful boy to Country Artist, look out world, here comes Dave Martin.
