God's Love
By profound understanding,
Comes lasting serenity.
God loves me as I am
Not as I "should" be.
Days of golden laughter,
Nights of ceaseless pain.
Warm morning sunshine,
Bitter evening rain.
Above fidelity or infidelity,
God's love for me is free.
Beyond worthiness or unworthiness,
I am certain God loves me.
The gift of God's love,
My eternal reprieve.
Forevermore I rejoice,
In my heart I believe.
