JOHN HAYES

John Hayes is from Holderness, New Hampshire. He served in the Amred Forces, both the Air Force and the Army, from 16 September 1960 until 1 October 1985. He received his Airforce Basic Training at Lackland AFB and his Army Basic Training at Fort Dix, NJ.� He served most of his career as a Military Policeman. � Comrade Hayes has also received education on and is fluent in German, Italian, and French.� He was also assigned to Opla Lacka, Florida for the Cuban Missle Crisis. � He other assignments include Loke AFB in Arizona, Kusan Korea, MacDill AFB in Florida, Vietnam, Fort Knox KY, Italy, Ft. McClellan AL as a Drill Sergeant, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, and Dugway Proving Grounds UT.� Comrade Hayes has participate in both the Cuban Missle Crisis in 1962 and during 5 camapigns of the Vietnam War.

His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal (2nd Award), Army Good Conduct Medal (5th Award), Armed Forces Expiditionary Medal, Vietnam Service Ribbon, Vietnam Capaign Ribbon and National Defense Service Medal. � Comrade hayes also possesses a Bacholeors Degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland.

He initially joined the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States in 1987 and later rejoined with fold at our post in 1997 as a Life Member.� He has held various positions within the post over the last couple of years to include the Post Judge Advocate and Chaplain.� He is also a member of the Military Order of the Cootie (MOC).
