Hava Kuvvetleri Komutani Hv. Org. Halis BURHAN'in direktifleri geregince bir akrotim kurulmasi icin 1992 yilinda calismalara baslanmis ve 3. Ana Jet Us 132. Silah ve Taktikler Filo Komutanligi (Konya) bunyesinde, bir akrotim kurulmasiicin 11 Eylul 1992 tarihinde onay alinmistir. Onayi muteakip, kurulus ve inceleme calismalarina devam edilmis ve 132. Filo bunyesinde dortlu NF-5 kolundan olusacak sekilde bir akrotim kurlumasi emri de 7 Kasim 1992 tarihinde yayinlanmistir. Direktifi takiben calismalar hizlandirilarak oncelikle, akrotimin cekirdegini olusturacak ilk dort pilotun secimi yapilmis ve lider, kapi ucucusu (yedek lider), sol ve sag kanat ucuculari ile bakim ekibi belirlenmistir.

Daha sonra, "Standart Hareket Usulleri El Kitabi" hazirlanarak, 25 Aralik 1992 tarihinde Hv.K.K. Hv.Org. Halis BURHAN'a arz edilmistir ve ucusa baslama emri alinarak ilk akrobasi egitim ucusu icra edilmistir. Ayrica ayni tarihte; akrotim icin, Turkce Ingilizce telaffuzu kolay, uygun bir cagri adinin verlmesi calismalarina baslanmistir.

The aerobatic team "Turkish Stars" was established as a part of the 132nd Fighter Weapons and Tactics Squadron at the 3rd Main Jet Base Command (Konya) or 7 November 1992 and the call name of the team was promulgated as "Turkish Stars" on 11 January 1993. The aerobatic team "Turkish Stars" which is made up of seven NF-5 A/B aircraft is still one of the two teams which perform acrobatics with supersonic jet aircraft in the world. The aerobatic team presented 17 acrobatics acts during the "Bad Weather" and 18 acrobatics acts during the "Good Weather" airshow flight. - - - -

- Akrotim lideri ve kapi ucucusunun dokuz sortilik egitimi Ocak 1993 ayinin ilk gunlerinde tamamlanmistir. Bu egitim sirasinda; ufki ve sakuli hareketlerde surat, irtifa, RPM, donus hizlari, donus yaricaplari vb. ihtiyac duyulabilecek her konu da denenerek optimum degerler belirlenmistir. Turk Hava Kuvvetlerin'nin yurt icinde ve yurt disinda tanitilmasi, kamuoyu ile olan iliskilerin gelistirilerek havaciligin sevidirlmesi amaciyla kurulan akrotimin cagri adi; konuya iliskin gorus ve onerilerin alinmasindan sonra, "TURK YILDIZLARI-TURKISH STARS" olarak belirlenmistir ve bu cagri adi 11 Ocak 1993 tarihinde yayinlanmistir. To introduce Turkish Air Force to public, abroad and at home,
To represent Republic of Turkey in foreign countries,
To contribute to the display of discipline and effectiveness of TUAF,
To strengthen the thrust of Turkish people in Air Force,
To create enthuasiasm to aviation among young people.

Turkish Stars represent the high abilities and level of training of all the Turkish pilots because they are one of the very few teams which can perform with supersonic aircraft on earth. However, they use 7 aircraft in their shows, where the other teams in the supersonic category prefer 6 aircraft. Depending on the meteorological conditions and the display area, the programme of Turkish Stars consist of a delta formation of 7 aircraft a special formation of 4 aircraft and solo formations of a single aircraft and 3 aircraft which all together 20 figures for 25 minutes. 12 officiers, one of them being the commentator and the others tactical fighter pilots are present in the squadron. Up to present Turkish Stars have performed their displays succesfully and pointed out the noticable position of Republic of Turkey and TUAF for the peace of the world.
