The Wichita Boeing BassClub was started in 1991 by Jim Meeks. He had been in a Boeing Bass Club in Huntsville and when he transferred here to Wichita, he wanted to continue his pursuit of bass fishing so he found some other interested people and started the Wichita chapter of the Boeing Bass Club. Jim was elected the first President of the club and Kevin Miller was elected as the first Vice-President/Tournament Director. There were eleven members the first year including John Edwards, Joe Cross, Leroy Cross, Frank Luebbert, Jon Thomas, Robert Jones, and Mark Pearson. Kevin Miller won the first Classic Championship.
