Brussels, Belgium - Page 1
Simon and I went to Brussels, Belgium in July 1999. I've only gone through Belgium on the way to England and never stopped off before. Simon has been there a few times.
This was Simon at the Cologne Hauptbahnhof (main station) waiting for the train.
Here is the train we took - the Thalys is basically a re-badged TGV that goes at 300kph, except between Cologne and Brussels :(
This is our hotel.
Thirty seconds by foot away from the hotel is "La Grande Place", which is the centre of town - a HUGE public square surrounded by really nice old buildings. I don't normally like really old buildings, but these ones impressed me.
