This is really a high school problem. Here the acceleration is constant and the given velocity is after t time. We have to find the distance after 2t time. As this particle is in constant acceleration, so after 2t time, its average velocity will be v [ From the fundamental equations of velocity we can prove it]. So the result we can obtain by the equation is s = 2*v*t.
