Friend says he and teen were lost before car trade in value fatal car crash

A Central Islip car part teen said he and his friend were looking for a cousin's house when Plantation Trail Ride Wilmington they went to the wrong Brentwood address, prompting the homeowner to chase them - and ended First Ride Ktm Rc8 up, police say, being rear-ended in a fatal car crash.
Franklin Bonilla, 17, and his friend Jonathan Lazo, 15, who was killed - were driving around Brentwood looking for Lazo's cousin on their way to McDonald's early Friday, Bonilla said yesterday by phone from Southside Hospital.
"I think what happened was Jonathan led me to the wrong house," car stuck in snow Bonilla said.

Bonilla crashed into a telephone pole and was taken to Southside with a broken back and a broken right arm. Lazo was airlifted to Stony Brook Medical Center, where he died within hours, car insurince police said.

Bonilla said Lazo was like family to him. "I'm angry that my friend died. I know the cops are dealing with that stuff, and I feel comfortable about that," snap on car battery charger he said. "But my friend is not with me anymore."
