Though lacking easy cargo access, space vans are good for hauling cargo that requires pressurization. This Tymbrimi vessel is typical of this very standard, widespread design except for the unusually large thrusters capable of generating an accelleration of up to 2-G and the oversized force field generator (center bow) to deflect space dust at very high speeds. The hyperdrives are located in the four thruster nacelles. Tybrimi rely on speed to outrun the pirates and Tandu privateers that prey on their vessels.
Note the crew quarters and helm located on the upper starboard bow. The large forward pod contains primary sensors, the smaller pod aft houses the long-range telepathic communicator.
