H-2 Alliances, Clans, and Races

Fah'fah'n*fah:

Hydrogen Breathing Political Entity

Of the hydrogen breathing factions, the Fah'fah'n*fah are among the more vocal.  Every few centuries, they send delegates to negotiate treaties.  They are as "secretive" as all other hydrogen breathers, and usually do little more than give the name of the group they represent.  Very few members of any O-2 race can properly pronounce their name because it is not suited to any sort of O-2 language or vocal organ.  (Note: most members of the Hydrogen Breathing order communicate using bio-generated radio signals and alogrithmic modeling.  O-2er to H-2er communication is always heavily dependent on technological assistance.)

The latest treaty with the Fah'fah'n*fah was negotiated merely decades ago in the Poul-Krenn sector, very near many Earth colonies.  Some Terragens participated in the last round of Fah'fah'n*fah talks held in the sector.

Zang:

Hydrogen Breathing Political Entity

"Zang" often serves as a generic term for the entire Hydrogen Order of sentience.  However, this word is more properly used for a large conglomerate of Hydrogen Breathers.  They are believed to be a major political faction in their own culture, but what their analog in Oxygen Breathing society would be is unclear.  The Zang engage in  trade with O-2 civilization much more frequently than any other group of Hydrogen Breathers.  The Zang faction consists entirely of Jovians, and seem to rely on deputies and analogical communication rather more than usual for H-2 species.

The Zang (that is, the H-2 order in the generic sense) were recently ceded the galaxy previously known as Galaxy Four in its entirety for what was then undetermined amount of time.  Since that Galaxy is now isolated, H-2 tenure there will be infinite.  (See Fallow and Traditon of Migration.)
