Shaun,

You have been the FO of DS 101 for a rather long time, probably the longest of any FO on the station.  While you were here, your posts enhanced the role playing of the unit, and spurred others as well.  Of course, one of your characters (Taavek being part of DS 101) is rather stuck in the station, but that is not the same as having you role play on DS 101.   Your presence on DS 101 will be missed by all, but perhaps by none more than me, its CO.

You were more than an FO, but part of the core that is the DS 101 family... and of course, you will always be part of my family.  I would never have met you had you not been part of DS 101, and for that, for your friendship, for making me a part of your family, I will be eternally grateful.

I must say that it truly has been a pleasure RPing with Mr. Shaun Darlington.  Since my initial character's transfer to the unit, his character's always been one promotion ahead of mine.  I remember when his first character showed up on my current unit (a long time ago mind you), with a higher rank than mine.  I figured this guy must be a really good writer to suddenly show up with a high ranking character.  Well, I was wrong.  Shaun is not a really good writer, he's an incredible one, with a heart that blazes much like his words.  Shaun it's been a pleasure, and I for one will miss your presence on our unit a great deal.

       Sincerely

You've been the FO of DS101 for quite a while. You always provided realism in an RPG of fantasy. Change is always inevitable, but you leaving DS101 is something I hate to see. Good luck with everything and I hope someday you'll return to DS101.

For the time that I have been reading the DS101 list, Shaun's postings have been a highlight.  When see the name "Shaun Darlington" in the "From" column in my e-mail and I know I am in for some sensational reading from the point of view of style, as well as for the tales and plot twists that are relayed to me.

I am sure that everyone that will no longer get to RP with you will be just a little sad.  The ideas seemed to be limitless, and the expression was always pristine.

Thanks for all the joy you have given me, Shaun.  I hope that our paths will cross again.

Shaun,

I am not alone in saying DS 101 will miss you very badly.  Even though I cannot RP with you, I cannot live without you.  All my love, and good luck with your command.

    Shaun,

In the RP universe that we share, as in life, some people come and go leaving no trace. The character you built in Doyle was not one of those people. Even if he is no longer around, he will  BE a part of DS101 for a long time to come.
