Track is a sport with no bias because a stopwatch and measuring tape have no favorites. Track is also a self-motivating sport -- you compete against yourself and succeed whenever you beat your own previous "Personal Best" time and/or distance. At track practice we work on form, skills and stamina. As in life, however, your own work ethic and personal desire to improve will determine how much you will have developed by Region Championships -- the more seriously you train, the faster and stronger you will become. In May, based on your abilities and the needs of the team, we will select up to three events for each athlete to enter at the Region 11 Championships (14 parishes in our local CYO grouping). The top finishers at Regionals move on to Area Championships (38 Bucks/Mont parishes), and the medalists at Areas move on to the Archdiocese Grand Championships (153 parishes). In addition to CYO Championships, in mid-April we take our fastest sprinters to Franklin Field to compete against over 100 other parish teams to qualify for the Penn Relays 4x100m Championship Finals. Track is Ambler CYO's most consistently successful sport: we have qualified for the Penn Relays Championship Final in each of the last four years and our athletes have won well over 100 medals at the Region, Area and Archdiocese levels in the last 5 years, including three Archdiocesan Grand Championships.

EVEN IF YOU ARE DOING OTHER SPORTS, YOU ARE WELCOME TO RUN WITH US WHENEVER YOU ARE AVAILABLE !!!
