Story 1: the Sinister Satellites:
Queen Terra of Jerz develops a plan to control a weather controlling satellite.
She believes that if she can control the weather of N'Yark, then she can
force its natives to submit to her rule. She begins to pull down
from their ancient orbits, old preDisaster satellites in the hope
that she can secure parts (as in computer components, etc) to complete
a device she has constructed that will give her long range control
over a functional, orbiting weather satellite. Alerted by the falling
satellites, Samson, Sharmaine and Mindor investigate. Eventually
they encounter Terra, and she convinces Mindor that she is drawing down
the satellites to secure technology to improve civilization for everyone.
Mindor agrees to give her a computer he took from one of the fallen satellites.
When she has what she wants, she reveals her true plane to control
Zeus II, the weather controlling satellite.
Part 2: The Monster From Space:
Samson and Sharmaine attack Terra, but it is too late.
One of the satellites she brought down contained spores which in Earth's
atmosphere, turns into a Vacuum Space Monster. This creature sucks
in everything alive and grows to monstrous size because of the constant
nourishment. It must be destroyed. They try various
things, even a bomb, and everything fails. Eventually Sharmaine
thinks of using a Collosso-Whale which is too big to go down its gullet
and strangles the space monster. It devolves into spores which return
to space.
In its starving rampage the space monster sucked up all of Terra's stronghold.
She must rebuild. Samson lets her go because she is helpless.
Terra leaves thinking that Samson is stupid for preferring a peasant
like Sharmaine over her.
In this episode Samson and Sharmaine rode the jet Rocket beast.
