The Fourth annual Area 51 People�s Rally was held on Sunday, June 3rd at 6:06a.m. on the border of Groom Lake Road. Events took place all weekend from Thursday, May 31st until the Rally on Sunday. I have many pictures from the rally so they may take a while to load.
On Thursday, a press conference was held in front of the EG&G terminal at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas to draw attention to the fact that Janet Airlines is still operational.. Although I was unable to attend the press conference, I was told that my Janet schedules were used to set a time for the conference. Initially, the conference was to be held at around 10:00a.m., but at this time most of the Janet Aircraft are gone. It was then moved to 2:44p.m. when they would be able to see a Janet plane landing at the airport. At least I know my schedules are still good after two years!

My father and I arrived in Las Vegas early Saturday morning. We then went to Alamo and stayed at a motel there. That evening we went to Rachel and arrived at the Little A�Le�Inn to hear Norio and his one man band welcoming us to the event. Things were lively at the Inn with Mr. Hayakawa playing his original cosmic wave and country western music. My two favorite songs were �West Bound on Groom Lake Road� and �Dawn at Tickaboo Peak.�
Later on in the evening, the Discovery Channel crew arrived in Rachel to tape all the events going on that weekend. They were filming for a new show that I believe to be called �Exotic Travels.�
At around 8:30 or 9 that night, researcher Aaron Johnson delivered his New World order presentation. The information given was fascinating but very conspiracy orientated. He believes that in the near future the citizens of the world will be forced into a one world government through harsh and deceiving methods.

Early next morning, Norio Hayakawa and Anthony Hinder took the Discovery crew to various spots around Area 51. Some of the visited places were the border on Groom Lake Road, the back gate, and Cedar Gate Road. My father and I did not go with this group; instead we journeyed to Castle Rocks looking for something we had read about. (lots more on Castle Rocks later)
At about 3 p.m. Saturday, everyone went to the Little A�Le�Inn to listen to a line of featured speakers. Anthony Hilder introduced all the speechmakers. The first to speak was Norio Hayakawa. He gave a background on Area 51 and spoke of possible activities that may be taking place there. Next, Dennis Grover gave a short �Knowledge Equals Freedom� speech. Lastly, former FBI agent Ted Gunderson spoke of the New World Order and the conspiracy behind the Oklahoma City Bombing.
Just before Ted Gunderson spoke, Victor Camancho arrived with a busload of people. They camped out near the border that evening. From what I heard, the campout went smoothly.

At approximately 6:06 a.m. the Fourth annual People�s Rally began. The cammo dudes took their posts, and everyone gathered at the border.
Norio Hayakawa opened the Rally requesting certain things be done. Among these were moving the Guard Shack to the border and compensation for families of workers who died while working at the base. Other speakers included Aaron Johnson, Anthony Hinder, and Ted Gunderson. While Anthony Hinder spoke, an unexpected incident occurred.
I remember hearing, very loudly, the engine of a vehicle coming down Groom Lake Road. Turning my head, I saw a truck coming at a high speed around the bend. People around me started yelling, �Watch it! Watch it!� This driver, was coming extremely fast toward the crown with no intention of stopping. He came very close to hitting a camera crew as well as a few other spectators. He then went on past the border and into the base. Anthony Hinder then said something like, �that (expletive deleted) going straight to hell where he belongs!� It was a miracle no one was injured.

The first thing that went through my mind was that the driver did not want to be identified. This is similar to the cammo dudes when they put their sun visors down to cover their faces when you look at them through binoculars. Then I thought that maybe he was ordered to disrupt the crowd. I was told that during the first People�s Rally, two blackhawk helicopters flew very close to the crowd gathering in Rachel to disturb them. Maybe he was used as an alternative method? But, the most obvious explanation, is that he was a renegade worker who just went crazy. The Rally was held on public land and we all have the right to be there. At this point in the rally, people could go see the guard shack or be interviewed by the Discovery Channel about their thoughts on Area 51.
The Rally weekend was lots of fun and I hope I can make it to future Rallies!
