Standing up to seven foot tall:
A long and lean basketballer!
Our only cranes
In tropic heat and rain
In graceful courtship dancing
Leaping high, shamelessly
they display to the watching world
Embrace in balletic displays of sheer elegance.
Sleek grey plumage plumage shimmering
On their outstretched wings
These friendly birds will even dance with folks
If you ask them nicely! I know:
