Custard Orchid

One of many Sun Orchids,
growing with the wealth of wildflowers
in that floral wonderland
in the south-west corner
of Western Australia.
From August to October this beautiful
and fragile flower
glows golden with glimmering petals
and brown-spotted like the skin of
caramelised custard.
