Bubbly Jock,
magnificent fruit-dove,
green pigeon, king pigeon,
Big, magnificent but hard to spot,
with a flimsy, mimsy nest
perhaps most beautiful of all the southern doves.
Attracted to ripening fruit
along the eastern monsoon forests
they feed high and low,
Maybe you'll notice the falling fruit
Loudly and
some say 'rudely'
calling
Wollack-a-woo, bok-bok-oo.
