Types of Hackers
The two main types of hackers include "White Hat" hackers, and "Black Hat" hackers. These
names are given to hackers who's use of hacking and code of ethics are both very different.
White Hat Hackers
White Hat Hackers are hackers employed to ward of "black hat" hackers. These hackers improve their knowledge
of hacking in order to be better prepared to deal with black hat hackers. The hacking done by these men and women
is often authorized and wanted. These hackers, often previously black hat hackers themselves, are usually employed by
large corporations and companies in order to secure their computer systems and networks.
Black Hat Hackers
Black Hat Hackers are hackers that enter networks illegally with malicious intent. These hackers gain access
to computer networks and systems for the thrill and challenge, often with no particular goal other than causeing as much damage
as possible.
