AGNES VEIN are coming from
my town, Thessaloniki and they paly a strange kind of epic metal, at least
is not something usual, Inspired by bands like MANILLA ROAD and CANDLEMASS
they offer us a travel deep into the lands of myth.
1.FIRST OF ALL TELL US WHEN YOU
HAVE STARTED AS A BAND AND PRESENT US THE CURRENT LINE UP.

We started before 2 years with the
same cast as today.Sakis Kioses on guitar and vocals, Kostas Tonios on
drums and Errikos Negros on bass guitar.
2.AGNES VEIN, IN MY OPINION, IS A VERY
ORIGINAL AND POETIC NAME FOR A BAND. WHERE DID YOU TAKE IT FROM OR
HOW WAS IT INSPIRED? WHAT DOES IT MEAN AND HOW IS IT CONNECTED TO YOUR
MUSIC?

We were inspired by a witch of the
Dark Ages called Agnes Vein that she was burned alive, acussed of black
magic. It also means pure vein like the kind of heavy metal
we play.
3.HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR MUSIC?
WHICH BANDS HAVE INFLUENCED YOUR STYLE AND ATTITUDE?

We believe that our musis is pure epic
metal inspired from the Gods Manilla Road,from Candlemass,Cirith Ungol
and Black Sabbath.
4.AS AN EPIC METAL BAND, WHERE FROM
DO YOU DRAW YOUR INSPIRATION AND INFLUENCES? YOU ALSO HAVE A SONG THAT
DEALS WITH THE DAMAGES THE HUMANS DO IN THE ENVIRONMENT. WHAT OTHER THINGS
DO YOU LIKE TO "HURT" WITH YOUR LYRICS?

We are inspired by epic mythology as
well as from situations in our ‘‘modern‘‘ times which have narcotize the
biggest part of our society.
5.MANILLA ROAD IS YOUR MOST OBVIOUS
INFLUENCE, BUT ALTHOUGH THEY ARE A HIGH QUALITY BAND, THEY NEVER
MANAGED TO BECOME REALLY FAMOUS. WHICH ARE YOUR OWN TARGETS? DO YOU SEE
THE BAND AS SOMETHING SERIOUS OR IS IT JUST FOR FUN, A HOBBY FOR YOUR FREE
TIME? WHAT DO YOU THINK OF MANILLA ROAD'S LAST 2 ALBUMS?

We see our band as something very serious
and important to us but we don‘t want to be famous because there is no
reason for this. We believe that this would have as a result to lose
the magical spirit that we now feel.

As for the last 2 albums of Manilla
Road, Atlantis Rising is rather fair and Spiral Castle is for the carbidge
and all the damage is caused by the pozer singer that Shelton have with
him. We are very sorry about this bad development.
6.THE COVER ARTWORK IS GREAT AND I
THINK VERY PROPER FOR THE MUSIC YOU PLAY. WHO IS THE ARTIST THAT CREATED
IT AND HOW IS IT CONNECTED TO YOUR MUSIC AND LYRICS?

We don’t know the artist. It is connected
with our music and lyrics because there is a heavy atmosphere in the landscape
around the castle.
7.THE PRODUCTION IS ON VERY PROFESSIONAL
STANDARDS. WHERE DID YOU RECORD THE DEMO AND HOW LONG DID IT TAKE YOU?
DID YOU HAVE ANY HELP FOR THE PRODUCTION OR DID YOU DO EVERYTHING BY YOURSELVES?

We recorded at Jam Studio in Thessaloniki
and it took us 2 months.The only help we had was from the guys in studio
for the specific sound we wanted to create.
8.DO YOU HAVE ANY NEW SONGS READY?
IF YES, WHEN ARE YOU PLANNING TO RELEASE THEM?

We have ready a song and almost ready
another one.Some time we will release them but we can‘t tell for sure when.
9.EXCEPT FOR THE LIVE YOU DID IN THE
EMPIRE METAL CLUB, HAVE YOU PERFORMED LIVE ANYWHERE ELSE? DO YOU INTEND
TO APPEAR LIVE IN THE FUTURE?

No we didn?t have another live yet,
but we will have one in Sunday 12 October 2003,at Mylos in Thessaloniki.
10.HOW DID THE FANS AND THE ZINES REACT
TO YOUR DEMO? ARE YOU SATISFIED BY THE FEEDBACK? HOW MANY COPIES HAVE YOU

Almost everyone that got the cd and
understood what we want to play,liked it very much. We have now started
to receive a lot of mails where they ask us to send our cd and promote
it.
11.CAN YOU TELL ME WHY YOU HAVE POSED
WITH COSTUMES IN THE PHOTOGRAPH INCLUDED ON THE CD? WHY DID YOU ALSO PUT
THE POT THERE AND WHAT KIND OF FOOD IS BEEN COOKED?

Because it was the day of my marriage.We
put the pot with patsas which express us because of the disgust that creates.

CLIP, WHICH SONG OF YOURS WOULD YOU CHOOSE AND HOW DO YOU IMAGINE IT TO

We don't want to make any videoclips.
