1.GIVE US A SHORT BAND BIO AND THE
CURRENT LINE UP OF THE BAND.
Bloodred Bacteria came up late
2000 as a rehearsal room grind crust session from Jens and me when we normally
should have been rehearsing with our Thrash Death Band NIGHT IN GALES.
So, but as it was really good for us, we said to do some more songs and
look for a singer. As we found him we were looking for a bass player and
as I have been writing with Jan (AGATHOCLES) for a long time I asked him
to record the stuff with us..............So, we got it.............Sounds
easy again. The only small problem we have that Jan is living in Belgium
and so we don`t meet up too often, but it works great the way it goes now.
We have a session bassist for the shows that Jan got not time for.
2.WHY HAVE YOU NAMED THE BAND BLOODRED
BACTERIA? HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH THIS NAME?
So, this was my idea and I need
to say that there is one of the most simple ones of it all. Bloodred Bacteria
for me is a name for "humans". As I think we as humans seem to be stupid
enough to destroy ourselves by making everything our "own". As we would
be god, everyone for its own, coming over as a Bloodred Bacteria. Logical
to me, hopefully to some more out there too.
3.WHY HAVE YOU CHOSEN TO PLAY GRIND?
IS IT CAUSE IT'S CONSIDERED TO BE AN "EASY" GENRE, IS IT BECAUSE IT'S FAST
AND HARD AND TAKES AWAY THE STRESS? WHY DO YOU THINK?
We have always been fans of hard
stuff as Napalm Death, Anal Cunt, Capitalist Casualties, Exit 13, OLD or
Brutal Truth just to new a few and as I said before it was pretty spontaneous
to do some songs that made it through. Surely it is much easier than this
stressy Metal Buis, but thats just positive. To me it`s just because of
the musical side that I do this, don`t give too much about lyrics or stuff
like that. The only that takes the stress away on this is, that I don`t
need take of any buisness shit as this is more about personal ratings,
not about sales nor studio money.
4.WHY DO YOU THINK PEOPLE MORE AND
MORE START LISTENING TO EXTREME THINGS? WHERE IS MELODY? WHAT DO YOU HAVE
TO SAY ON THAT?
I am not sure if really more people
start to like extreme music, as everything got bigger again and got their
trends. Melodic stuff too, I mean the big Melodic Metal Trend was big too.
As everything comes and goes, like always and since years...............
5.WHICH BANDS ARE YOUR INFLUENCES?
CAN YOU LIST ME YOUR 5 MOST BELOVED ALBUMS? DO YOU REMEMBER WHICH BAND
AND SONG IN SPECIFIC MADE YOU REALISE THAT WHAT YOU WANT TO DO IS PLAY
MUSIC?
Iron Maiden`s KILLER was the first
record I bought from my own Cash, I think I have benn 11 years or twelve
years old and I really enyoed the heavyness of the voice. As i just knew
stuff as Marillion or Gary Moore before, I mean they are not bad at all
but they didn`t sound like Paul Dianno. And I just remebered that my brother
wanted to give me a CD for my 13/14 birthday and I was totally into Iron
Maiden but he gave me NAPALM DEATH`s Peel Sessions.........and what do
you expect........I was nothing but shocked!!! I mean ND`s Peel Session
is still one of the most extreme records (that has real songs and is done
by musicians!) and I just thought Paul Dianno is the KILLER! Man, I was
shocked to the Bone.........................but I started to like it, haha......and
now it`s still one of my faves! Ok, my 5 Top Records of my life should
be: 1. Misifts - Legacy Of Brutality or all stuff recorded with Glenn 2.
Suicidal Tendencies - Suicidal Tendencies LP 3. Danzig - Danzig 4. Slayer
-I think I could name all records! 5. D.RR..I. - Dirty Rotten LP And I think
the first Danzig Record made it sure for me to play music as me and my
old friend at that time where just sitting in the cellar and hurting my
brother`s drumkit (nearly to the rhythm of "Twist Of Cain" and "She Rides")
and I was the one who got better by the time, so I decided to play drums.
And my brother way already playing for years, so I learned some things
from him.
6.IF YOU HAD A PROPOSAL BY SOMEONE
TO PLAY IN A NON EXTREME METAL BAND, WOULD YOU GO? WHAT I MEAN, IS ARE
YOU INTERESTED IN OTHER BRANCHES?
Sure, I like other stuff too. I
mean Marillion have been great or playing drums for Britney Spears would
rock 110% (better said, I would party for the next years if that would
happen:). But there really a lot of good Bands around which are not metal
or something like that. I just had a look at my collection and noticed
that there are not too many non-hard records in it. Ok, John Zorn or some
Dave Weckl stuff.
7.HAVE YOU RELEASED ANY DEMOS OR NOT
YET? CAN YOU TELL US SOME THINGS ABOUT THEM?
Ok, we have a released a 7", that
I released on my own, then we did a split 7" with TOTAL FUCKING DESTRUCTION
and now (July 2002) we released a split CD with SWARRRM. It`s all about
some powerviolenced Grindcore on here. There will be tons of more releases
later as we are doing a Cover 7" for the Agitate 96 fanclub, a split with
Bastard Noise, a Track on the D.R.I. Tribute CD plus some more exclusive

8.WHAT WILL YOUR LYRICS DEAL WITH?
WHAT GIVES YOU INSPIRATION?
As I said before, I have never
been too much into lyrics so our old singer did the ones on the 7"`s and
they have pretty political or social. As Jens did the new ones, I just
wanna say that Jens got some real good dope for that, haha...

awesome Grindcore Tracks in a row. Pretty Noisy but i think it`s fun to
watch a Bloodred Bacteria Show. So, our last show with Zimmer`s Hole was
pretty cool. Some people didn`t seem to get into our stuff and they were
just wondering what we are doing. But thats the cool thing in doing this.......
10.WHY HAVE YOU CHANGED A SINGER AND
WHY DID YOU SELECT THE OLD NIGHT IN GALES SINGER? WHY DID HE LEAVE NIGHT
IN GALES IN THE FIRST PLACE?
So, Christian left NIG for personal
reasons and he said that he can`t fulfill the Nuclear Blast contract we
got with touring and different stuff. So, we decided to stop that musical
relation but surely not the personal and have still have been hanging out
together. And thats why he is the first one who finished his Study, haha.....
And we kicked Chucky as he had timing problems. A normally if we record
some BB stuff we are recording 1-2 days and he didn`t came to the recordings
to hang out at some strange Demonstrations and got caught by the police
and shit like that. It was always hard to get all together, so......we
did let him go:)
11.YOU ALSO BELONG TO ANOTHER BAND,
NIGHT IN GALES. CAN YOU TELL US SOME THINGS ABOUT IT? DO YOU STILL BELONG
THERE OR WAS IT PUT IN ICE?
No, after all that shit that happened
with NIG we decided to take a small break and concentrate on all the side-projects.
Everyone is involved in different stuff except Frank. But there will be
some new NIG stuff someday, somehow, somewhere!
12.CAN YOU TELL US ANY NEWS FROM NIGHT
IN GALES? DO YOU HAVE ANY NEW SONGS READY?
No, just starting to get some stuff
in the rehearsal room. Jens said that he has some cool riffing for NIG,
so I think there won`t be any new NIG record until mid 2003. Not sure what
will happen until then. But NIG #6 will be something different again, always
have done new stuff!
13.WHICH IS THE WORST AND WHICH IS
THE BEST REVIEW YOU'VE EVER RECEIVED?
Sorry, but I really can`t name
a specific one but I wanna say that also the worst can be the best. If
you take the funny side of it. I think with NIG we got a huge amount of
reviews which contained all sides of reviews. I prefer reviews that are
just about this one record not about the whole story of the band or a special
happening the editior knows. And with BB the reviews have been much less
but I think also brilliant through and through, as long as people know
how to handle that. A true Metal zine shouldnt review a BB record!
14.WHICH IS THE BEST PART IN YOUR MUSIC
AND IN THE BAND IN GENERAL AND WHICH THING DO YOU THINK YOU SHOULD CORRECT?
WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU NEED IMPROVEMENT?
The best part in BB is that we
are all still friends and that we know that it is about fun. We meet up,
go to the rehearsal room, make some noise, reproduce it in the studio,
haha.......and put them on a record. Improvement,......mmmhhhhhh,............
not really for BB, as it would maybe destroy the spontaneous way of working
we have now. It`s cool the way it is now. Really!!! Thats also the best
part of our music. Everyone of us is improving hisself, so the relation
keeps on moving, that keeps things hot!
15.MANY EXTREME METAL BANDS EXPRESS
RACISTIC IDEOLOGIES. WHICH ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THAT?
Stupid Kids with Stupid Ego-Problems!
But there are more problems as rascistic ideologies,all that homphobic
shit that grows on and on. Kids are just getting crazier and want it more
extreme, in all ways.
16.HAVE YOU READ ANY INTERESTING BOOKS
LATELY? HAVE YOU WATCHED AN INTERESTING MOVIE?
Really not into Books as I dont
take the time ..I just watched Star Wars II and I really hated it. Who
needs Stars Wars with 50% being a romance and the other 50% are just computer
animated Stormtroopers? Fuck that. I really didn`t like the first one because
of that funny guy in it, but I will watch the third part of Stars Wars
too I think. I still didnt see Ice Age, which should be cool but I didnt
get it to go to the cinema. Damn me for that...............A strange film
I watched was a film about POLLOCK, the american artist. Pretty strange
film with a typical "I am cazy, so I am an artist"direction but it was
pretty ok.

THE MOST FROM OUR TIME?
I would pick up the Renaissance
to see if all the Artists are really that artful or if most of their paintings
where just sponatneous. And to see if they have already been that famous
in their time or if just someone said 100 years ago that these guys need
to be famous. Or I would pick the Wild West, I think thats pretty interesting.
No, I got it........I would like to be in World War II, as I am always
thinking how one person can have such a huge impression on millions of
people and tell them what to do. Really interesting kind of brain-washing.
From our time I think I would miss just good recording studios, the way
of travelling and computers, plus Internet Access!
