This interview is really
a huge one and I believe that many people will learn some things more about
DARK TRANQUILLITY and their upcoming album. So I can't find a reason
to write a prologue. Skip these lines and start reading...
1.WELL IF “CHARACTER” ISN’T A MASTERPIECE, THEN
WHAT IS IT? IT’S SIMPLY ASTONISHING!
-
Hahaha! Thank you very much! Oh it’s the result
of a lot of hard work and a lot of good times and frustration and anger,
but hey call it what you will! It’s fine with me! Hahaha!
2.HOWEVER, IT’S ALWAYS BETTER TO KNOW THE CREATOR’S
POINT OF VIEW. I SUPPOSE IT’S TOO EARLY FOR YOU TO BE OBJECTIVE, DO YOU
FEEL CONTENT WITH IT?
-
Absolutely! We are more than happy! I haven’t
been this happy with an album for a long time now! It’s great! The thing
is that we actually recorded the album in February, so I live with it for
a long time now…
-OH REALLY? SO IS IT THAT OLD?
-
Yes it is! It still feels very fresh and I can
be a little bit objective about it but not as much… We actually played
some of the songs live already…
-YES I KNOW YOU’VE ALREADY PLAYED “ONE THOUGHT”
IN ROCKWAVE FESTIVAL.

Oh yeah that’s true! It feels really good and
I can’t wait to go out and play these songs live!

SOME OF THE SONGS LIVE OR WAS IT SOME SORT OF A TRIAL, CHECKING THE CROWD’S
REACTIONS?

Oh it was a little bit of both! We wanted to play
some new songs, and we didn’t want to keep the secret that long and thank
all those people who came to our shows, we wanted to give them something
extra!
3.I DON’T KNOW WHETHER THIS IS AN EXAGGERATION
OF MINE OR NOT, BUT THIS IS YOUR MOST COMPLETE ALBUM, PERHAPS THE BEST
OF YOUR CAREER. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY ON THAT?
-
Well, we always try to make the best album possible
any given time and I think that we really, really worked hard with this
album to make it something that has stuff from all of the previous albums,
bringing things a little bit further and also hopefully create an album
that will have a longer life…
-IT HAS THE ESSENCE OF A CLASSIC ALBUM IF YOU
ASK ME…

Alright! We really wanted it to have a longer
life and not be something that you’ll listen to for a couple of weeks and
forget about it.
4.WHAT AMAZED ME IS THE ADDITION OF SOME SLIGHT
BLACK METAL ELEMENTS THAT WE HADN’T HEARD SINCE THE “SKYDANCER” AND “THE
GALLERY” ERA. HOW DID THIS COME UP?
-
Ohh…It’s just a matter of sometimes taking things
to its extreme. You go out with speed intensity and aggression and we kind
of went further with more progressive elements and some technical touches
as well, so we took everything a step further, so it makes sense to bring
stuff like that too.
5.DO YOU AGREE WITH ME THAT YOU MADE A STEP BACKWARDS
WHILE AT THE SAME TIME GAZING AT THE FUTURE? THE CLASSIC DARK TRANQUILLITY
ELEMENTS WRAPPED UP WITH INNOVATIONS.

I guess… I mean… Hmm what really matters to us
when we write music is to integrate the stuff that made us write in the
first place, which is a lot of aggression, speed and intensity and also
a lot of melody and that is why we started this band in the first place
and those things still apply to us. Then of course you learn a lot of things
along the way and have a lot of new influences but still that’s the most
important part and that’s what adds, what spices up things a little.
-HOW EASY IS IT FOR YOU TO ACHIEVE SUCH A SOUND
AFTER ALL?
-
It takes a lot of time you know and we try to
be honest with each other about what we like and we want to make sure that
all six members in the band are satisfied with all the new different elements
of each song. We spend more than a year really, really making sure that
all the things and the influences that we want to have in our music is
actually there in each song! Whenever we feel extremely satisfied we book
a studio and we record it!
-SO, DEMOCRACY WORKS FOR YOU!
-THAT’S WEIRD! MOST OF THE BANDS DON’T LIKE IT!

I can understand them! It takes a lot of time!!!
But we love to spend a lot of time together and write music together! It’s
a great thing to us!
6.ANOTHER IMPRESSIVE THING IS THAT IN TIMES THAT
MOST BANDS SETTLE AND “REST” ARTISTICALLY SPEAKING OF COURSE, YOU SEEM
TO NEVER BE SATISFIED WITH YOUR DOINGS AND TRY TO PROGRESS AND STRETCH
THE BOUNDARIES OF YOUR MUSIC AND YOUR OWN. DOESN’T THIS TIRE AND “DRAIN”
YOU?

It’s always a matter of finding something new
that feels fresh and that can really inspire you and challenge you. First
it makes no sense to make the same album twice or do something that we
already know exactly how to do. We always try to view the songs from different
perspective that feels like a fresh start and not having to think tat we
did this in the past and it works so lets do it again! Doesn’t make sense
to us. This band takes so much time out of our lives and it’s huge part
of our everyday life that it’s something that really, really matters to
us, so repeating ourselves doesn’t give us anything! It’s not fun at all!
I think we would stop being in a band a long time ago if that’s how we’d
feel about it!
-WELL, THAT’S MY NEXT QUESTION… WHEN WILL DARK
TRANQUILLITY STOP?

Hahaha! The day that we are not interested anymore.
The day that we’ll feel that we’ve done everything or that there is nothing
new to contribute to the scene…
-DO YOU BELIEVE THAT BANDS KNOW WHEN THEY DON’T
HAVE ANYTHING MORE TO CONTRIBUTE?

But hopefully as soon as we feel that there is
nothing else or when we’ll start doing it for the wrong reasons, if we
start doing music for money or just because we just want to go on tour…
well this doesn’t make sense to me!
7.DARK TRANQUILLITY IS A BAND THAT GOES WITH THE
TIDES. I MEAN THAT ON ONE ALBUM YOU MAY USE MORE MELODIES OR MORE ELECTRONIC
PARTS AND ON ANOTHER YOU MAY SOUND REALLY AGGRESSIVE AND PISSED OFF. “CHARACTER”
FINDS YOU IN THE SECOND CATEGORY. HOW COME? ARE YOU PISSED OFF WITH SOMETHING
IN PARTICULAR?

Hahahahaha! Yeah! With myself! I mean the times
we live in… there are so many crazy stuff happening and that’s because
so many people do things for the wrong reasons without realizing what’s
important for our lives. They tend to listen and following people who base
themselves in faulty information. People shouldn’t listen to others, we
should all have strong foundations inside of us and be sure that whatever
you do is right and nor just follow trends or do what the media tells you…
-DON’T GO WITH THE PACK IN GENERAL…

That’s what animals do! We are individual people
and this really frustrates me. I see all these horrible things happening
in the world just because some people kind of fail to think for themselves.
It’s really sad, so I tried to write an album that is about all the individual
mistakes that we do. I do it all the time too and that’s why I’m angry
with myself! I tend to fall into the trap. It’s always easy to disconnect
from things or to be jaded about it and stop caring! That’s a really dangerous
way to go!
8.WELL, IN ALMOST ALL MY QUESTIONS YOU’VE, UP

Hey! Hahaha! After all those interviews I’ve done,
I’ve learned a few things! Hahaha!
-SO, WHY DO YOU THINK HUMANS HAVE GROWN SO MUCH
APART FROM EACH OTHER? I MEAN THE TITLE “LOST TO APATHY” SAYS IT ALL! EVERYDAY
WE WATCH KILLINGS, POINTLESS WARDS, DEATH AND MORE DEATH… WE JUST WATCH
TV AND WE ARE WRAPPED UP IN OUR TEMPORARY AND FAKE SECURITY…AS IT IS SOMETHING
AMUSING WE WATCH AND OF COURSE WE REMAIN IN APATHY…WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO
COMMENT ON THAT?

Yeah! I think that’s really, really scary and
a very negative direction towards we are heading! You realize that perhaps
there’s nothing you can do about things you see or hear about and that
kind of jades you more and makes you less empathic about what’s going on
and you feel nothing eventually. You just stop caring and stop feeling
anything!
-EXCEPT FOR YOURSELF OF COURSE!

Yeah! Yeah!!! I mean it’s really easy to do that.
It’s easy to say hey this happens somewhere far away…

Yeah! Screw it! I can live my own microscopic

HOW FAR AWAY CAN AFFECT US AND OUR LIVES AS WELL…

Yes! We share this world and we should make the
most of that! It really makes me mad seeing the amount of people that don’t
care at all and are very, very selfish! It’s one thing to be individual
and another thing to be selfish!

9.I THINK YOU ARE A BAND THAT EQUALLY CARES
ABOUT THE MUSIC AND THE LYRICS. LYRICS ARE A VERY IMPORTANT FACTOR OF THE
BAND AND ONCE AGAIN FROM THE BITS AND PIECES I CAN UNDERSTAND THEY ARE
MAGNIFICENT! ARE HUMAN RELATIONSHIPS AND EACH PERSON’S INNER SELF THE MATTERS
THAT INTRIGUED YOU THE MOST THIS TIME?

I think that we do a lot of really negative things
to each other because we can’t communicate properly or relate to each other.
We are based on misconceptions and culture-ish issues and it’s really sad
and of course to me…some of the guys in the band don’t care about the lyrics
at all, but I’m gonna be standing on stage or wherever and scream these
things for years. So, it must be something that really matters to me and
makes me wanna scream about! Hahaha! Or else there is no point, your voice
is a pretty revealing instrument!
10.CAN YOU TELL US A FEW GENERAL THINGS ABOUT
THE LYRICS AND ABOUT YOUR INSPIRATION?
-
Uhh…Inspiration comes from anything, if it’s an
original thought! It can be from movies, books or life in general! It could
be anything as long as you feel it’s kind of single mind that makes the
best out of his/her creativity. That’s what really inspires me. It doesn’t
matter what kind of story it is or whatever, as long as I get the sense
that this person is kind of unaffected and what writes comes straight from
his/her heart! The same goes with the music I listen to! Music that is
not meant for charts or TV or radio and it’s real! That’s what really inspires
me! It makes me really write and put my own thoughts into it…
-CAN I ASK YOU IN SPECIFIC ABOUT SOME SONGS?
-WHAT ABOUT “NEW BUILD”?
-
It’s just kind of a new way of thinking. It’s
about…hmm…uuhh…
-HAVING A DIFFERENT, NEW PERSEPCTIVE YOU MEAN?
-
Yeah! And creating something! It’s about family
and how you kind of raise the new generation and bring your experience
and your thoughts onto other people, your family and your close circle
friends… Share your experiences and what you learn. It’s about creating
something new out of nothing and bringing it up in a good, solid and focused
way.
-WHAT ABOUT “ONE THOUGHT”?
-
It’s about how easy it is to totally turn things
off. It’s about how we are overrun by mass media and without really seeing
the motives or the hidden agendas of things. It’s a mater of really turning
things off, moving to the country side and doing whatever you want to do!
Hahaha! And remain really unaffected by things, but this is really hard.
It’s everywhere and I guess this is a protest I’m making with this song!
-“DRY RUN”?
-
That’s about inspiration. It’s about how I really
want to either go all out with something or don’t do it at all! That causes
all the problems with me. I take things to their extremes and I don’t care
about it at all! Hahaha1 That goes with everything I put myself into, either
it is writing or going on stage or singing or whatever… I really want to
do it 100% and even more and if I can’t for whatever reason, I feel like
I’m nothing. I feel this way. You go through all these different phases
especially if you are into this kind of business. One hour you are in the
worst possible place and mood and two minutes later you have the best experience
of your life and these ups and downs continue… It’s crazy and it really
affects me! I try to have a good balance, but that’s really hard!

It’s one of the first songs I wrote for this album
and it’s about not conforming to standards or trends or trying to fit in
anywhere…
-BEING AN INDIVIDUAL…
-
Yeah! It’s about not belonging to anyone else
rather than your own philosophy and beliefs. It’s about t taking things
from other people’s beliefs or ideologies and adapting it into yourself
and not totally and blindly following.
11.WHY DID YOU NAME THE ALBUM “CHARACTER”? WHAT
DO YOU MEAN BY THAT? DOES IT IMPLY THE FACT THAT YOUR MUSIC HAS A CHARACTER
OF ITS OWN?
-
I think it does! We’ve always tried to make sure
that what we do is exactly what we love! Whenever we create music, we go
into the rehearsal room and you shut out all your influences and all your
thoughts…
-CAN YOU REALLY DO THAT?
-
Well, more or less. We really try! We try not
to think of what the people will want from us or what the record company
will expect, you know… We are focusing on the six of us making sure that
whatever comes from us is our personality and our own ideas. I think that
goes on how you perceive yourself and not being affected. It’s really hard
and it takes a lot of character I guess!!!
12.WHAT’S THE GREATEST EMOTION THAT DOMINATES
YOUR MUSIC?
-
Oooh… It is… Could be love for music and for each
other and passion. That’s what it means to me. Even if it’s anger! Sometimes
I love to feel this way too and take it out and I know for all of us it’s
about really loving to create something and trying to get that out. It’s
an intense music form and you need to be passionate about. Haha! It’s difficult
to narrow it down, but I think that’s what it is all about. It’s been 15
years of doing it and you can’t continue that long if you don’t love it!
13.WHICH FEELING OR THOUGHTS DOMINATE “CHARACTER”?
-
Hmm.. I think despair and hopelessness to me!
I feel really hopeless. I feel like there is no end inside to the horrible
things happening and I don’t think people will change anytime soon. Personally
it’s hard even for me to change too! I try!
-HAVE THESE THOUGHTS STARTED DUE TO THE WAR IN
IRAQ?
-
No! No, no! Not for me! It has always been wars!
They kind of dominate the media, but I try not to talk about political
things or current issues, but it shows that it’s a mass medial thing. It’s
not just people killing people, it’s what impressions we get as TV viewers
and magazine readers and that’s really scary! How these things affect us
on a personal level, what we think and what we believe, what opinions we
have on things…
14.THE ARTWORK IS VERY FUTURISTIC AND WEIRD! WE
SEE A CONTRADICTION BETWEEN GREY AND RED. DOES THIS MEAN SOMETHING?
-
I think so! Niklas who did the cover he tried
hard to create something that has lots to do with the lyrics and the feeling
that he would get from the music and what he tries to kind of bring forward
with his music. To me it means just a sense of direction, something unaffected,
moving through and increasingly alien world. I know Niklas has the idea
of thinking of the landscape as mental landscape, brain tissues and stuff
like that, really kind of a mental landscape that has a singular idea and
a singlular motion going right through it! It is a great contrast between
moving always and kind of being still…in a…hmm…
-IN A STILL ENVIRONMENT…
-
Yeah!!!! And also with the colors being something
really alive like being muscle tissues going right through it. Being industrial
and physical as well! I think this contrast is great!
-WHAT I HAVE RECEIVED FROM THIS CONTRAST IS THAT
THE RED COLOR SHOWS THE DIFFERENCE OF EACH PERSON AND THE GREY IT THE PLAIN,
ORDINARY PACK…
-
Yeah! The lifeless ones! I think the whole artwork
and everything else, the music, the lyrics will tie together in a great
way. That’s how we feel about it. We tried to do the same thing with the
“Lost To Apathy” video to tie with it as well! Everything being a great
big package!
15.DID YOU SAY VIDEO?
-HAHAHA…

-YES!
-WILL YOU SHOOT ANOTHER VIDEO CLIP FOR "CHARACTER”?
-
We did a video for “Lost To Apathy” It was a great
experience! We did it with a friend of ours here in Gothenburg. It’s a
pretty simple thing, but we used pieces of the artwork and we transferred
it into 3D and we used a green screen recording, so it looks like we are
actually inside this city-scape playing. It looks amazing! It’s a really,
really cool video!
-WILL YOU SHOOT ANOTHER VIDEO?
-
I don’t know! I think so! We are talking about
it and we are thinking about it! So, hopefully we are going to do another
one, that would be really interesting! When we get the chance to work with
another person and bring our ideas forward and collaborating with the director,
then it’s really interesting! Sometimes you do what others tell you…someone
has an idea and you just do what he tells you and that’s that, but with
this guy we can do something that works for the band and the director and
hopefully for the fans as well.
16.IN FEBRUARY YOU WILL START TOURING WITH KREATOR,
EKTOMORF AND HATESPHERE. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT IT?
-
I can’t wait! I am looking forward to it a lot!
Kreator is one of my all time favorite bands….
-THEY’VE RELEASED A GREAT ALBUM AS WELL. HAVE
YOU LISTENED TO IT?
-
Of course I have and it’s amazing!!!! I love it!
It’s gonna be really cool, we are going to a lot of new countries that
we’ve never been to and playing all these new songs… I am really looking
forward to it!!!
-WILL IT BE A BIG TOUR?
-
Yeah! A long one! It’ll 5-6 weeks long! Yeah!
-BUT YOU’RE NOT COMING TO GREECE. KREATOR ARE
COMING ON THEIR OWN IN FEBRUARY…

Yeah, yeah I know! We are hoping that we might
do one off show or something like that! We are working on it right now!
I’m really hoping it will work out, cause we really have a great time in
Greece!
17.RECENTLY YOU’VE RELEASED WAY TOO MANY THINGS!
STARTING FROM THE “LIVE DAMAGE” DVD AND MOVING ON TO THE DOUBLE DISC “EXPOSURES
– IN RETROSPECT AND DENIAL” AND TO THE “LOST TO APATHY” EP AND NOW” CHARACTER”.
WHY HAVE YOU BEEN SO BUSY LATELY? I THINK YOU’VE RELEASED MANY THINGS FOR
ONE YEAR. WHY?
-
It’s a lot! Actually it wasn’t our intention to
do something like that…
-WAS IT THEN CENTURY MEDIA’S INTENTION?
-
It’s just a matter how it all came out. The DVD
was suppose to come out much time earlier, but there were some delays and
the “Exposures…” thing, we actually thought about it 3-4 years ago. We
wanted to release it back then, but we waited and made sure that we had
all the material and that everything sounded as good as possible and it
was matter of getting all that together. But it did turn out that everything
came out in the same year, so it’s a bit weird, but then again we have
been busy, writing and recording stuff, so it showed natural, it was good
to have something out, but it turned out to be much for us…
18.WELL SINCE THE ALBUM HAS BEEN RECORDED BACK
IN FEBRUARY, I SUPPOSE THAT YOU ALREADY HAVE SOME NEW SONGS READY. RIGHT?
-
No, not new songs. We have some ideas, a lot of
things written and lined up, so hopefully we will get the chance to writing
something after the tour. We will take our time with it and see. It’s not
gonna be a rushed thing! We have a lot of new material and we’re really
looking forward to getting to a writing mood again!
19.HOW MANY ALBUMS DO YOU STILL HAVE TO RELEASE
WITH CENTURY MEDIA?
-
Two more after this one, because we resigned in
the summer for 3 more albums.
-SO THIS MEANS THAT YOU ARE SATISFIED WITH THEM.
-
Oh absolutely! We’ve released 3 albums so far
and we have 3 more to release in the future. We have a great relationship
with them and a great working method. We have total freedom in everything
we do and that’s what I love the most! Whatever we sent them, with the
cover artwork, with the production, the songs, they release it. No questions
asked, no anything!
-REALLY? CAUSE WE OFTEN HEAR FROM OTHER BANDS
THAT CENTURY MEDIA IS A BIT OPPRESSIVE AS A LABEL…
-
I hear that sometimes too, but to me this has
never been a problem. Perhaps it was because when we signed with the label
we had just recorded “Projector” and we had it already finished and we
had just given it to them, so they would release this or nothing at all.
They said alright and that has been the idea ever since and how it has
worked and we are really happy with it!
20.I’D LIKE TO KNOW HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT YOUR DVD.
IT HAS WAY TOO MANY THINGS AND IT’S GREAT. HOWEVER, MY OBJECTION IS WITH
THE CHOICE OF THE PLACE. I UNDERSTAND THAT KRAKOW MIGHT HAVE BEEN CHEAPER
AND WITH A BETTER SOUND FOR YOU, BUT I DON’T THINK THE CROWD WAS THE BEST
YOU COULD HAVE...

Yeah I agree with you! This place is a recording
studio. It was weird and it’s kind of hard to get into the spirit of things
and into the right mood when there are so many cameras surrounding you
and playing in the middle of the day and not night as we always do. It
was very weird, but I think it looks good and sounds great…
-COMPARING IT TO THE REACTIONS OF THE FANS IN
GREECE, IT’S RATHER DISAPPOINTING. DON’T YOU THINK?
-
I know! That was the reason why we included some
of the songs, a part of the live from Athens. So, people can realizing
by watching it that there are other kinds of people as well and not just
the Polish people, specially in Greece things are amazing! People seem
to have such a great passion for metal that is really heart warming for
me!
21.HOW COME YOU’VE RELEASED “EXPOSURES – IN RETROSPECT
AND DENIAL” NOW? IT’S GREAT! ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE THAT WERE TOO YOUNG TO
FOLLOW YOU FROM THE BEGINNING! HOW COME SOME OF THE SONGS DIDN’T MAKE IT
TO BE A PART OF AN ALBUM BACK THEN? WHY DO YOU USE THEM NOW?
-
For different reasons, some of the songs didn’t
fit in the albums, for example the song “Exposures”, which we recorded
during the sessions for “Projector” and didn’t really fit in that album,
it was a different kind of song and it ended up being used in limited editions.
Some other songs that we recorded either we didn’t think they were good
enough, or they didn’t fit in the album or didn’t go well together. Some
songs we used in Japanese editions for other reasons and songs like the
“Poison Well” which is one of my favorites. I really wanted that song in
the album, but the other guys didn’t. So, we were democratic about it,
hahaha, and we didn’t use it, but finally people can hear them. You don’t
really have to listen to the song in the context of their album, but you
can listen to it as a single song and that can improve the experience of
it. Some of the songs are better than others, but it’s all out there! It’s
all revealed. There is nothing else we’ve recorded. Now everything is released!
That feels really good!
22.WHAT TITLE WOULD YOU LIKE THIS INTERVIEW TO
HAVE? A TITLE THAT WOULD SUM UP THE WHOLE DARK TRANQUILLITY “PHILOSOPHY”?
-
Oooohh! Hahahaha! I don’t know!!!! I really don’t!!!!!
I am glad I don’t work in a newspaper! Hahaha! I have no idea! Whatever
feels right for you or for whoever works there…
23.I’M REALLY CURIOUS TO KNOW WHY YOU’VE CHANGED
YOUR LOGO. WHY DO YOU USE THIS ONE THAT IS PLAIN AND COMPUTER-LIKE?
-
It was just a matter of something that fitted
with the direction we were heading.
-YOU MEAN WHEN YOU ADDED THE ELECTRONIC PARTS?
-
Hmm…weeell, not really! We changed it when we
released “Projector” and that doesn’t have that many electronic parts.
It has a few of course, but still it was a matter of something we thought
it was more stylish and also when Niklas started creating the cover artwork
he wanted something in that style, of that sense and interpretation of
our music. It was natural to change it and it was at the same time that
we switched to a new label. It only made sense!
24.IF YOU COULD BE A DIFFERENT FAMOUS PERSON FOR
A DAY, WHO WOULD YOU CHOOSE AND WHAT PERIOD OF HIS/HER LIFE WOULD YOU LIKE
TO HAVE A TASTE OF?

Ooooh!!! I don’t know!!!! Ouch! That’s interesting!!!!

It would be interesting…Perhaps being a roadie… Seeing the beginning… Ohh!
I don’t know! Geddy Lee probably, one of my idols! That would be interesting,
whenever they started and went into the scene! It would be interesting
to know what really happened when they started releasing music. And also
Peter Gabriel is one of my idols when he was in Genesis. I can imagine
it being really different in the beginning of the progressive movement
and it would be interesting to see what it was going on at the time… yeah,
Peter Gabriel most probably in the ‘68-’69…
25.IS THERE A MUSICAL DIRECTION YOU’D LIKE TO

I don’t know! We always try hard to have all different
kinds of music integrated into ours. It would be nice to totally go the
opposite direction just for once, but then again perhaps it wouldn’t be
for the right reasons. It’s always a group effort, be on the same page
and do something that we all love to do…

Yeah! That’s always the thing that you do when
you want to do something else, but I am happy and this band takes so much
of my time… Perhaps one day I will, but I don’t have any need for it right

to understand that someone will go as far as that because they are obsessed
with someone…

Yeah, I know! He was someone deranged that had
a world image of his own and it’s important though to realize that it’s
not because of metal music. It’s really being over-obsessive. I read in
some magazines that some people accuse the metal media, the metal music…

Yes!!! I know! It’s a scapegoat and makes no sense
at all. It’s really sad! You know we had a fair share of people who were
a bit overly obsessed about our music and stuff like that, but you should
be really calm and nice. It is really sad to see someone die this way.
We actually had some controversy about it in Sweden, cause recently we
had the killing of one of our statesmen. It was a deranged young man who
did it and it’s been going on a debate about how we should improve our
medical systems and get help for these people, before they turn to their
extremes and do something horrible. It’s hard and I realize this of course!
I kind of anticipate something like that. I don’t know what to say. It’s
extremely sad!

Ohh, what have I been listening to…? Kreator,
Masterplan it just came out. I have some new promos here and I listen to
the new Arena album a lot. What else? Isis and the latest Neurosis I listen
to a lot, I’ve seen them a couple of days ago and stuff like that. Whatever
is good! I tend to listen to a lot of different music and still always
come back to the same bands… Hahahaha!

What can I say? I am just hoping that people will
appreciate the album and hopefully we will have the chance to come to Greece
soon, play our music and have a good time! I really hope for that!

I know that it’s gonna be a long year and I know
I’m gonna be away from home a lot. I just hope I’ll live through it and
