DISHARMONIC
This is the second interview
we do with Disharmonic and this period finds the band with a new demo with
a slight turn occurring in their music (it became more core-death metal)
and a huge apettite for music. Ladies and gentlemen the underground spirit
is here... We present you Disharmonic
1.HELLO! FIRST OF ALL I WOULD LIKE
TO LISTEN TO YOUR OPINION ABOUT THE NEW DEMO. HOW AND IN WHICH WAYS HAVE
DISHARMONIC CHANGED FROM THEIR FIRST DEMO TILL NOW?
Hello! I think that we have changed
first of all our music style, we turned into brutal hardcore with many
death metal parts and some punk stitches. Also we are more mature now in
many ways…
2.APOSTOLI, I THINK THIS IS THE FIRST
TIME THAT YOU SANG IN THE STUDIO FOR DISHARMONIC. HOW DO YOU FEEL AFTER
THIS EXPERIENCE? IS IT DIFFERENT FROM SINGING LIVE?
Yes, that was my first time in
the studio! It was a very nice experience I can say but I have to be better
next time… Of course it is different from singing live, I must admit that
I prefer singing live, it’s a unique feeling.
3.CERTAINLY THE NEW DEMO BRINGS THE
BAND ONE STEP FORWARD, BUT I THINK THAT THE PRODUCTION IS A BIG MISMATCH
TO THE MUSIC. WHO AND WHICH THINGS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS? IS IT THE
STUDIO YOU RECORDED IN, THE ECQUIPMENT OR THE LACK OF EXPERIENCE PRODUCERS
FOR YOUR SOUND?
I have to agree with you. The production
is shitty and we are very disappointed about this. I don’t know (or I don’t
want…) to say whose fault was but I believe that the biggest reason for
that was the lack of money.
4.DO DISHARMONC SEARCH FOR A LABEL
OR WILL THEY CONTINUE TO RELEASE THEIR MUSIC BY THEMSLEVES? DID YOU HAVE
ANY PROPOSALS FROM LABELS?
We don’t exactly search for a big
label. Certainly we don’t want to be rock stars or make money from music.
We are a band dedicated to the underground spirit. But we would like to
find an underground label to help us with our future releases. Until then
we will continue releasing our music by ourselves.
5.I HAVE TO ADMIT THAT YOUR BACK COVER
REMINDED ME OF OVERKILL'S "FEEL THE FIRE". IS IT A COINCIDENCE OR WAS IT
DONE ON PURPOSE?
The background cover has nothing
to do with Overkill! You are the first one to tell me something like that
and I got surprised! I don’t think it’s important to tell you what it is,
we are happy that everyone finds a different explanation about our artwork.
6.YOUR MUSIC AND ESPECIALLY YOUR LYRICS
ARE REVOLUTIONARY AND RADICAL. DO YOU THINK THAT NOWADAYS YOUNG PEOPLE
HAVE THE STRENGTH OR THE WILL TO DO THEIR PERSONAL REVOLUTION OR HAVE THEY
BECOME PART OF THE SYSTEM?
Our lyrics describe personal feelings
such as hate, love, anger etc., but also have many social and political
influences. I think that most people accept passively everything what authority
and media feed them, but don’t forget that many people still react and
fight against this brutality. I believe that as long as the human race
exists, there will always be people trying to remain humans.
7.ARE YOU AFRAID THAT ONE DAY MIGHT
COME THAT YOU'LL LOSE YOUR INTEREST FOR WHAT YOU DO RIGHT NOW? WHAT DO
YOU THINK OF BANDS THAT CHANGE THEIR MUSICAL STYLE AND DENY THEIR PAST?
I’d prefer to talk about today,
I can’t tell you for sure what I’ll do tomorrow, only time will tell! I
don’t have any problem with bands that change their music style if they
just want to play something they like more. But if this happens for financial
reasons, then the shame is on them…
8.A NEW YEAR HAS STARTED A FEW DAYS
AGO. WHAT DO YOU WANT OR WISH TO CHANGE IN OUR WORLD THIS YEAR?
I wish peace, love and unity for
all the people. No more repression…and depression!
9.WHICH IS ACCORDING TO YOU DISHARMONIC'S
MOST APPEALING AND WORST ELEMENT?
This is a question that someone
else may answer, not me! But if you want my opinion our worst element is
the lack of experience and our best the live performances.
10.DO YOU HAVE ANY PLANS FOR LIVE SHOWS?
WHAT SHOULD THE FANS EXPECT TO SEE IN ONE OF YOUR LIVES?
We would be glad to perform as
many shows as we could but unfortunately there are problems which prevent
us (like our guitar player joining the army…) However, we perform any time
we have the chance to do so. So, come and see for yourselves!!!
