Well, that’s a long time ago - most important fact was, that we needed to play like we felt to that time and it wasn’t important and planned to create a style like death metal. I tell this cause today MESSIAH is known as a cult-band that played a very extreme metal-style for those times being. And was the influence for many newer Death Metal Bands. I think, a lot of  the fans liked us also with the newer,later MESSIAH-line up, that was also not the typical Death-Metal-sound like other bands play. Very important was, after we had our second demo out (the infernal thrashing…)that we had the possibility to release our first two albums with chainsaw-murder rec. It was a small private label owned by an old friend of us (Dinosaur) from the metal-scene in Zuerich/CH. It wasn’t possible to sign with a big label cause we were too extreme and may be too unprofessional - but original as we became the input of our fans. Another important point was our first big show we played together with Celtic Frost 1985 in Switzerland - many German-people came to that show for us! 

He lives in the Swiss-Mountains, sometimes we have contact - but he is no more interested in playing on stage or making an album in the future.. He is more involved in classical music. 

Oh no !!!  No (cause of my horrible vocals and we did not have that great feeling like I knew it and learned it in MESSIAH). 

I wasn`t in the scene the last few years but I know that Poltergeist`s mastermind V.O. Pulver has a few years now a band called GURD. I never met the Excruciation - Guys again - after 1990…I think. Jazzy, the drummer from the original MESSIAH-line up, played with Poltergeist in their first album. 

O.K. - It started a new MESSIAH-era. Like earlier times, before we produced PSYCHOMORPHIA by ourselves - but it was that Demo that gave us together with the cult-status to realize a deal with Noise-rec. The new MESSIAH line up released from 1991-1994 three albums, and two mini - one of them was PSYCHOMORPHIA - with new recorded guitars and new mixed and mastered for the cd. We played two tours with Deicide, a small european headliner-tour for the album ROTTEN PERISH 92 - with that we entered swiss-chart no.88.. We played some shows in festivals in Holland  (Waldrock), Metal Mania and Death Metal Festival in Poland (big success), shows in the end of DDR and and and….The last album UNDERGROUND was recorded with Christofer Johnsson of THERION cause Andy Kaina left the band in ‘93..We also played some last shows with Christofer before the Band split definitively in ‘94! 

If you asked me this thing in the times of the newer MESSIAH among 1990-1994, I would give you the answer that I wasn’t happy with all. To that time I was looking for a more technical and more professional sound and band - but I learned and know now, that it is something other very special in these two old albums. Today - and only today - I discovered what happens with the original debuts and that’s the fact why we decided to re-release  them - especially for all the younger and new fans that never had the possibility to get our old albums…. 

Oh -I often dream and listen to old music but I`m also fascinated by the actual Black Metal Bands - especially because of the musical and technical novelties - not about the lyrics….. 

Hey - we did not do that tour! It was the 1990 Deicide/Messiah tour. We played only two shows in the U.K. - one in London`s Terror Dome and the othher show in Bradford. 

I only know that they are rehearsing in the classical line up and a new album will be recorded soon - that`s all I heard….. 

Eh SCRUFF, that’s a question we have to discuss seriously with enough time when we will meet sometime! But I can tell you first that we all never had experiences with things like that, but I`m very interested and open minded. Extraterrestrials: I`m not that naive and egoist to believe that mankind is the only existing life-form in the universe! But I believe in the Einstein’s relativistic theories and if it’s definitive that the light is the fastest in the universe - why and how could Extraterrestrials havve a motive to send signals or visit a world/planet like Earth they never could discover because of the earth - age – distances in the environs of uss are known without life and would need more time than our sun-system exists?…. It’s a fact that Nasa stopped the SETI-Project that is now supported by the private planetary society with all the worldwide screensaver-jokers…..J 

These question is more actual now than months ago: Members of MESSIAH met last summer for rehearsals and sessions - also with the old original line up. WWe also discussed if there is a future for MESSIAH - an important question cause a lot of people/fans specially in Switzerland  and Germany created the rumors. We decided that MESSIAH has to be like in the old times and not reform with recording a new album. But there were a lot of new and young fans that asked about MESSIAH and we decided to do a "reanimation" with two last shows: one in Switzeland and one in Gemany in 2003! The line up: Andy Kaina : vocs, R.B.Brögi :guit, Steve Karrer: dr and Patrick Hersche: bs That’s the  longest and best in function existed line up. We will also soon present our official home-page www.messiah.ch, with actualized news and the complete MESSIAH-History including Bios, Liner-Notes, Reviews, Gallery with hundred`s of pictures, a Guestbook/Forum and and and……… 

How can I ask questions to the singularity since I could never exist in a meeting without space, time and endless mass?????? 

The future! The past would be a selfdestruction without return. If that would be possible - I would miss that I wish that these never could become real…… 

I think old bands have their own qualities that cannot be compared to the standards of nowadays scene. But that is a big chance to live and present the old times by the original bands that reform - but not for new songs, and acting like the original times / bands. Only for a time-Documentation and for all the young and new fans who want to discover and enjoy old music. 

Could be - but time changed things like in all other things in life - and old thrash oriented fans (me too), are listening to the songs with a difference.
